How to get the Sewer Tunnels Key in Atomfall

As you begin to explore the starting region of Slatten Dale in Atomfall, you'll soon discover several locations that require special keys to open. One of those locations is the Sewer Tunnels, which can be found in the central part of the region. Naturally, most players want to enter any location they come across, but you'll need the Sewer Tunnels Key to gain access to this spot in Atomfall.

Fortunately, the Sewer Tunnels Key isn't too difficult to acquire, but it will require you to give up some of your valued possessions. Below, I'll go over where to find the Sewer Tunnels Key and how to use it.

If you went to the Sewer Tunnels, then you likely also grabbed the note that was stuck to the front door of the location. This note states that a woman named Molly has the key to the door, but she's located "down the hill" from the sewers.

To find Molly, turn around from the Sewer Tunnels door, and walk straight down the dirt path that's carved out from the end of the stairs. Keep following this winding path until you reach a trader's camp, which is where you'll find Molly, who has taken up trading as a job.

Molly will chat you up a bit and can even give you some information on what's happening in Atomfall if you barter with you. Fortunately, bartering is what's required if you want the Sewer Tunnels Key. Molly has the key in her inventory and you need to trade with her to get it. However, the key is called "Concrete Shelter Key" instead of Sewer Tunnels Key, so keep that in mind so it doesn't throw you off.

Bartering in Atomfall doesn't work through a currency system. Instead, you need to give up items of equal value in order to purchase an item from a trader. For the Sewer Tunnels Key, Molly values that quite a lot, so you need to part with some key items in order to get it.

In my case, I was forced to give up two weapons, a knife and a cricket bat, to get the key. However, I also threw in a bottle of Painkillers and a Nail Bomb to also score three Bandages, a Flashlight, a Metal Detector, and eight rounds of ammunition. I highly suggest picking up the Flashlight and Metal Detector, as these are key tools that make your life easier in Atomfall.

Whatever the case, just make sure you barter for the Sewer Tunnels Key. Once you have it, come back the way you came to get to Molly and use the key to open the Sewer Tunnels door. Inside, you'll come across a few outlaws and even a rat swarm, but you can also access several new areas by exploring the tunnels.

This is one of the most useful locations in all of Atomfall, so it's absolutely worth it to barter with Molly to get the key to enter.
