The newest LMG in Black Ops 7 might look a little familiar.
The new content in Season 1 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone hasn't stopped since the update arrived, and that's still not changing in the heart of the holidays. Starting on Dec. 16, a new event, Naughty and Nice, will go live in Black Ops 7, which introduces the Sokol 545 light machine gun.
However, with how differently events have been working so far, it's fair for you to wonder just how exactly you can unlock this new weapon. Below, we'll go over all of the details about the Sokol 545 and how you can get your hands on it.
Unlocking the Sokol 545 in Black Ops 7 and Warzone
The Naughty and Nice event begins on Dec. 16 and features a slew of rewards, including the Sokol 545. As the event hasn't started yet, it's currently unclear exactly how you can unlock the Sokol 545. Fortunately, we do already know a little bit about how the rewards will be given out during the event.
How the event works is that there are two separate kinds of "gifts": naughty gifts and nice gifts. These gifts are earned by completing specific challenges on the separate Naughty and Nice tracks. When you complete a Naughty Challenge, you'll receive a gift by opening a bag of coal. When you complete a Nice Challenge, you'll open a present to receive your reward.
In all likelihood, the Sokol 545 is the premier reward from the event, meaning you'll have to complete all Naughty and Nice Challenges to unlock the weapon. These challenges can be completed in Black Ops 7, Zombies, and Warzone, but it's unclear if you'll have to go into each mode to complete a challenge or if there are separate challenges for all of the modes.
When you complete the event, through one way or the other, you'll earn the Sokol 545, which can then be equipped in Black Ops 7 or Warzone.
However, if you want to wait and bypass the Naughty and Nice event, there will presumably be a Store Bundle containing a Sokol 545 blueprint. If you purchase this bundle, you'll immediately unlock the Sokol 545 and get to keep it permanently, even through Prestige. We're not sure when this bundle will release or how much it will cost, but you can expect it to arrive shortly after the Naughty and Nice event goes live.
