The best RAAL MG build for MW2

The RAAL MG stands for Reconnaissance Auxiliary Assault Lightweight Machine Gun. It is a high-damage LMG with good recoil control and solid range. Like any light machine gun, however, it lacks in the mobility department. You shouldn't be running and gunning with the RAAL MG in MW2 in the first place, so that category isn't a focus when putting together a good build. The best loadout for the weapon will improve the areas where it already excels.

Before you can assemble the best RAAL MG build in MW2, you'll need to unlock the gun. It is not available when you immediately begin your Modern Warfare 2 career. Instead, you'll have to play a bit to get your hands on it.

Many weapons are part of a Weapon Platform that requires the first gun in the progression tree to be leveled up in order to unlock the other guns in the tree. For the RAAL MG, it sits alone on its Weapon Platform. All you have to do to unlock it is play until you reach Level 25 of the Military Rank.

After you're able to access the RAAL MG, you may need to level up the LMG and some other guns to achieve their full potential. Several of the game's attachments are unlocked at specific weapon levels rather than by simply leveling up the gun you want the attachment for.
