Everything you need to know before scraping stickers in CS2.

Stickers are a hugely popular part of the CS2 cosmetics market, allowing you to customise a weapon with symbols, team logos or player signatures. However, with skins being bought and sold all the time on the market, what if you get a Skin that has stickers you don't like? That is where being able to scrape stickers comes into play.

While this can be a super useful feature, as skins and stickers ultimately all carry a monetary value, you need to be careful with how you use this.

Here is everything you need to know about how to scrape stickers in CS2.

How to scrape Stickers in CS2

Here is a step by step guide on how to remove stickers by scraping in CS2:

  1. In your inventory, find the weapon that has the sticker you want to scrape or remove. Make sure you are selecting the one you actually want to remove.
  2. When you have found the right weapon, bring up the menu using right click. The menu will have an option to 'Scrape Sticker.' Click that option.
  3. You'll see a menu that allows you to set the "Sticker Scrape Level" - this slider impacts how scraped the sticker is. Fully scraping it will remove the sticker entirely.

It is very important to note that if you fully scrape/remove a sticker from a gun it is destroyed completely. Be careful with this, as some stickers are very valuable. The most expensive can go for in excess of $50,000! Check the value of stickers before taking such drastic action.

You could sell the skin with valuable stickers and re-buy it (probably for cheaper if the stickers are rare!) instead of destroying them.

Why would you scrape a sticker?

There are a few reasons why you would scrape a sticker in CS2. The first and most obvious is because you don't want a sticker on your gun anymore. This might be because you fancy a change, or because you bought a skin and don't like any skins it came with.

However, that isn't the only reason. Some people prefer the look of stickers after they have been scraped in CS2. The stickers fade out the more they are scraped, changing the aesthetics completely.
