How to counter Ringmaster: Taking advantage of his weaknesses
Just like Shadow Demon, Dazzle, and Oracle, Ringmaster depends on his positioning. Having heroes like Centaur Warrunner or Legion Commander in his frontline is Ringmaster's dream. As he strongly depends on this, you may already imagine what's his kryptonite.
To counter Ringmaster, just pick heroes that ignore the frontline and catches him. Also, add burst damage to the equation to prevent him from counter-initiating with his defensive abilities. Heroes that meet these requirements are:
- Queen of Pain: You can scale into silences with her, making it one of the best options against the newest hero.
- Storm Spirit: The preferred choice when it comes to Ringmaster's counters. Burst, initiation, disable; the all-in-one backline killing machine.
- Templar Assassin and Morphling: The concept is the same. Just first, then burst. In contrast with the two previously mentioned heroes, these two depend on damage items first.
- Micro-management units: Specially Beastmaster and Chen. Their units will easily zone Ringmaster away from the team fight, forcing him to use his defensive spells on himself instead of his team.
- Blink dagger initiators: Batrider, Tuskar, and Pangolier have become great options against him. However, you will need extra assistance to burst him since these three options have a limited timeframe to take him down.
This information will be updated as well, since the new hero is not complete yet. Ringmaster has neither Aghanim's upgrades nor facets, which will add or remove counters in the future.
