The first Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) competition of the year is officially underway. While the top players compete for a share of over $7 million, the community has its chance to shine. Epic Games has revealed the the FNCS Community Cups in Chapter 5 Season 1, including the dates, cosmetic set, and more.

Today, we'll explain everything you need to know about the Fortnite FNCS Community Cup tournaments.

Fortnite FNCS Community Cup in Chapter 5 Season 1: Schedule and format

Fortnite's first FNCS Community Cup begins on February 10 and is open to competitors across all six server regions: Europe, NA Central, Brazil, Asia, Middle East, and Asia. This Duos tournament features a prize pool of free FNCS-themed cosmetics for those who finish atop their respective region.

According to the official rules, another FNCS Community Cup will occur on February 17 with a different cosmetic prize pool. However, both competitions follow the same format, which you can find below:

FNCS Community Cup Dates and Format

  • Dates: February 10 and February 17
  • Game Mode: Duos Battle Royale
  • Time: A three-hour session
  • Match Limit: Ten games
  • Rank Requirement: Bronze or higher

How do I compete in the FNCS Community Cup?

There are a few tournament prerequisites that you must meet before competing in the FNCS Community Cup. Refer to the guidelines below to ensure you are ready to play:

  • Competitors must be at least 13 years old.
  • You must have two-factor authentication (2FA) enabled on your account.
  • Your Epic account must be level 15 or above.

If you meet all those requirements, you can queue into the tournament when your region's time window arrives on February 10 and February 17.

What can I win by playing in this tournament?

There is no monetary prize pool involved in the FNCS Community Cup. Instead, it's a more casual environment that offers free in-game cosmetics. The top-placing Duos will collect these free rewards sometime after the tournament concludes.
