Here is how you can collect mineral samples in Fortnite and complete the game’s newest challenge.

One of Fortnite's newest Quests requires players to collect mineral samples on the island. This is something that is brand-new to the game, so many have jumped to the internet in hopes of figuring out how to complete this Quest.

Well, look no further. Here is how you can collect mineral samples in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2.

To collect mineral samples in Fortnite, you will need to use the Plasma Burst Laser. First, head to the Black Market location just south of Magic Mosses. This building can be found in the woods that surround the point of interest (POI).

Once in the building, head to its basement, where you will find a secret lab. This lab holds the Plasma Burst Laser. Grab it and head back to the surface.

To collect mineral samples, all you need to do is find a rock that is breakable and begin shooting it with the Plasma Burst Laser. The rock will then drop minerals that you can interact with, helping to complete this part of the Quest.

How to analyze the mineral samples

Next, you will need to analyze the mineral samples. Sounds complicated, right? Actually, it is quite easy. Head back to the lab where you found the Plasma Burst Laser and go to the table that Joss is examining.

Interact with the table by pressing whatever button it tells you to, and this will have you analyze the mineral samples you collected.
