Trying to complete Fortnite’s Week 3 Quests requiring you to find three Golden Llamas?

Fortnite's newest feature is Golden Llamas, which need to be searched to complete a specific Quest. However, these new types of Llamas can be difficult to find, as they give you quite a bit of loot. Here is where to find Golden Llamas in Fortnite.

Golden Llamas in Fortnite: How many there are, and where to find them

The new Week 3 Quest requires players to search for three Golden Llamas in Fortnite. Here's the catch, though: There are only three Llamas on the island each game. This means your chances of finding even one are super low.

Each Gold Llama spawns in a random area each game, meaning they could literally be anywhere on the island.

So, what are some of the best ways to find Golden Llamas fast? Here are a few options:

  • Grabbing a vehicle and driving around the map quickly will increase your chances of finding a Golden Llama, as this allows you to cover more ground quickly before the storm closes in.
  • When jumping out of the Battle Bus, be sure to look at your surroundings from high up, as you may be able to spot one before landing.
  • Using the new Rocket Drill item will allow you to shoot around the map at quicker speeds. This gives you a higher chance of running into one of the Gold Llamas.

Luckily, you do not need to search three Golden Llamas in one game, as that would be almost impossible. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled when searching the island.

How to search a Gold Llama in Fortnite and what they give

Now that you have located your first Gold Llama, you will need to search it. Luckily, this is incredibly easy, as it simply requires players to use their interact button. Don't know your interact button? That's okay. It will pop up on the screen when you approach the Gold Llama.

You can also simply destroy the Llama with a gun or your pickaxe, too.

Once destroyed, the Gold Llama will drop a plethora of loot, which includes 1,000 Gold Bars, loads of ammo, four Gold Splashes, and sometimes a Dill Bit.

These can be a huge help for players who need heals, movement, Gold Bars, and ammo, as each Gold Llama gives you quite a bit of each.

What do Gold Splashes do?

The Gold Splashes found in Gold Llamas are like normal Splashes, giving you 20 health each time you use one. However, the Gold Splashes also provide players with Gold Rush, a new ability that lets a player sprint for longer, swing their pickaxe faster, and hit harder with their pickaxe.

This is a great ability to help get around the island and mine more materials at a more efficient rate, making Gold Splashes extremely valuable.

Gold Splashes are not only in Gold Llamas, though, as you can also find them littered throughout the entire island.
