The Series 30 update is live in Forza Horizon 5 and the Lunar New Rewards are up for grabs. These include the 2022 Hyundai Kona N for the Summer Festival Playlist for 20 points. Unlocking it is a pretty simple task and there is a treasure hunt and a photo challenge this week for five easy festival playlist points, in addition to the rest of the weekly activities.

Here's how you can earn the 20 points you need to unlock the Hyundai Kona N in the Summer Festival Playlist in Forza Horizon 5 Series 30.

Treasure Hunt - Frog in the Well (3 points)

The treasure hunt is a very simple one this week. The clue goes "This spritely frog is oh so bouncy, jump 5 times and claim your bounty". It's clearly referring to the 1958 Austin Healey Sprite Mk1. The jump 5 times bit makes it even more obvious what you need to do with the car. You need to get 5 air skills with it. Tune it just a bit and drive it around off-road. You'll get those air skills soon enough and unlock the treasure location on the map.

Once you unlock the treasure location, head over to the south of the map and follow the broken path east of Ek Balam. The treasure chest is right at the edge of the central point of the broken path, inside the hidden waterfall cave.

Photo Challenge - #SNAPOVERSTEER (2 points)

The Photo challenge, #snapoversteer is an easy one too and does not impose any vehicle requirements. Use any car you have and head over to the Los Campos drift zone, which is south of the stadium - El Stadio Horizon on the map. Launch Photo Mode when you're on either side of the Drift Zone and make sure either of the starting points is visible in the frame. Take a picture and you've got 2 playlist points in the bag.

Forza Horizon 5 Series 30 Summer Playlist Completion - 20 points

20 points will unlock the Hyundai Kona N and they're pretty easy to get. Assuming you've completed the treasure hunt and the photo challenge, you've already got 5 points from those. You can earn 15 more in multiple combinations. The Trial is a no-brainer because it gives you 10 points. You can earn the rest in a combination of Eventlab activities and the three drift zones. Here's how it goes

  • The Trial: Corvetting the Competition (B700 Chevrolet Corvette) - 10 points
The Trial requires a B700 Corvette. We suggest using the 1967 Corvette Stingray. This car offers ample room for upgrading to B700 and adding decent performance.
  • Eventlab - Utopia Gardens Recension (A800 Modern Rally & Rally Monsters) - 3 points
This one offers plenty of cars to choose from. Most Subaru Imprezas tuned to A800 would work here.
  • Drift Zone - Cara Este (Formula Drift S1900) - 2 points
One of the three drift zones will give you the remaining points you need to earn the 20 points for the Kona N. Pro tip. Disable the Stability and Traction Control for drift zones in the difficulty settings. All the formula drift cars are set up for drifting on their stock setups and have S1900 tier performance to begin with. You can acquire one of them from the Auto Show or the Auction House in case you don't own one.

Of course, you could try various combinations. All three Eventlab activities reward 3 playlist points and the drift zones are worth 2 points each.

This is all you'll need to do to unlock the Hyundai Kona N, which is the exclusive reward for Summer. You Additionally, you'll want to know that the Summer Playlist offers enough potential playlist points to unlock the 80-point series reward, the 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 6. Although if you're doing enough to earn all the exclusive cars in Series 30, which require 20 points each week, you'll unlock the Ioniq 6 that way too.
