Is it finally happening? After some radio silence, XDefiant announced a Server Test Session to end March. And now, we've got details on how you can participate and when it will take place.
The official Ubisoft website for XDefiant provides all the information, but we'll break it down for you. Let's go over what you need to know.
XDefiant Server Test Session dates
The plan is to test how the servers handle true XDefiant gameplay and prepare for an official launch. That date is still unknown, though we do have the dates for you of the Server Test Session.
You can play during the following times:
- Start Time: Friday, April 19 - 10 a.m. PT
- End Time: Sunday, April 21 - 10 a.m. PT
That's a weekend of fun for all of you who have been waiting to get your hands on this game again.
How to join the XDefiant Server Test Session
The test session is available for users on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S consoles. Pre-loading is available now. Here is how to download it for each:
PC
- Open Ubisoft Connect on your PC
- Select Preload Now from the featured XDefiant Server Test Session promotion
- Alternatively, you can search for XDefiant to find the test session
- Select "Add to my games"
- Click Preload to begin the download
- Return to Ubisoft Connect when the session is live and select Play to begin
PlayStation 5
- Search for XDefiant - Server Test Session on the PlayStation Store
- If you've played a previous XDefiant test that is just called "XDefiant," this test is a different product, and that previous one is the eventual full launch
- Choose to download to session
- Select to play it from your main screen or game library once the test session goes live
Xbox Series X/S
- Search for XDefiant - Server Test Session on the Micrsoft Store or Xbox Store through the console
- If you've played a previous XDefiant test that is just called "XDefiant," this test is a different product, and that previous one is the eventual full launch
- Choose to download to session
- Select to play it from your main screen or game library once the test session goes live
XDefiant Server Test Session rewards
A handful of rewards are available for anyone that participates in this XDefiant Server Test Session. There are some requirements, which are as follows:
- Play in the test: Receive the MP5 Shamrock Weapon Skin
- Play in a party: Receive the M9 Ember Weapon Skin
- Reach Level 18: Receive x3 Weapon XP Boosters
