5 Hearthstone Combo Decks from Murder at Castle Nathria to Play on Day One.

Week 1 of every expansion is the perfect time for crazy combos. Check out these Murder at Castle Nathria combo decks, but under your own risk.

Hearthstone's new expansion is less than a week away. Deck-building enthusiasts have done hours of tireless investigating to uncover the mysteries that the new expansion has to offer! It's dangerous to prepare by yourself, so here are 5 combo decks for the Castle Nathria expansion!

Renathal Miracle Rogue - The Best Deals in Castle Nathria!

Starting off this list, we are introducing Renathal Miracle Rogue. Out of all the combo decks in Castle Nathria, Miracle Rogue had the highest potential seen during the Theorycraft streams. The new Rogue class legendary, Necrolord Draka, and the new Rogue Location card, Sinstone Graveyard have extremely effective synergy with what Rogue already likes to do.

The addition of Prince Renathal is mostly for the HP boost. With how easily this deck can draw itself thanks to Gadgetzan Auctioneer, the extra 10 cards don't feel like a massive disadvantage. Tutoring cards like Shroud of Concealment and Sketchy Information (which will always draw Loan Shark, giving you 2 coins) help considerably with the deck's consistency.

There were several games where this deck could generate a large, stealthy board along with a massive weapon as early as Turn 5. I believe this could be the most popular combo decks when the Murder in Castle Nathria expansion releases.

Strengths:

  • Quick, immediate damage
  • Immense card draw potential
  • Large untargettable minions

Weaknesses:

If you'd like to see this deck in action, feel free to check out the video attached!

Combo Imp Warlock - The Most Aggressive Combo Deck of Castle Nathria

Warlock received the most amount of Imp support we have ever seen in Hearthstone's history. Over the past couple of years, Zoo's winrate and playrate have declined drastically. Because of this, Control/Combo Warlock strategies have led Warlock's class identity. However, these new Imp support packages could potentially divide into one of two different styles of gameplay.

Obviously, you can storm the board in an aggressive fashion and pressure your opponent quickly. But with the Naval Mine and Tamsin's Phylactery added to the deck, late-game strategies become somewhat viable. Warlock combo decks get better with passing expansion it receives any card draw, healing, or removal tools. In the Castle Nathria expansion, Warlock received primarily card draw as well as minion generation.

When Impending Catastrophe was released, many players were looking to Runed Mithril Rod combos instead of building large boards. Zoo decks have been unreliable for a long time. There is hope that these new cards will revive the classic archetype.

However, if wide boards don't get the job done, then Naval Mine OTKs will become the new norm. If Aggressive Zoo decks cannot thrive in this new expansion, then combining these archetypes could become meta-defining.

Celestial Alignment Druid - The Combo Deck That Never Dies, Castle Nathria version

Alignment Druid has been a major player in the top legend ranks for the past year. And it doesn't look like it's going anywhere. Alignment Druid simply received too much support. We cannot ignore how the archetype will evolve with the Murder at Castle Nathria expansion.

Nightshade Bud works beautifully with this archetype. Since you can Discover a minion OR a spell to cast, the flexibility of this card is already notable. If you need to play Celestial Alignment, but it's still in the deck, now you have another out to play.

The new minions work great with the play patterns of this archetype. Sire Denathrius can act as a single win condition. Cards like Scale of Onyxia or the Raid Boss herself can pump up Denathrius's damage significantly. And don't forget that Kael'thas Sinstrider can give you insane combo potential before Celestial Alignment is activated. In combination with Brann Bronzebeard and Alexstrasza, or even Denathrius, these combos have scary potential.

Druid is looking like it may dominate Day One of Murder at Castle Nathria. It may not be Alignment Druid specifically, but don't underestimate how Wildheart Guff could continue his reign in top legend.

"Infinite" Infuse Mage - A Bloody, Spammy Combo

Now that we've focused on the meta-defining strategies, why don't we take a look at some funny combo ideas available in Standard!

Sire Denathrius looks amazing in Druid, Warlock, and/or any other class that loves to summon token minions. However, what if there was a combo possible to infuse Sire Denathrius to unreal amounts of damage? This Mage deck aims to set up a bloody, epic combo in two steps!

Step One. Kill off some minions!
Thanks to Spammy Arcanist and Gruntled Patron, you can set up an "infinite" chain of killing summons while summoning more. To set this up with no help from your opponent, you'll need a 3HP, 2HP, and 1HP minion to begin the loop.

If you hold onto your (0) mana hero power from Amplied Snowflurry, then all you need to do is play Gruntled Patron, ping the Patron, giving you a 3/2 while summoning another 3/3 Patron, play the 1/1 Murloc Tiny Fin, then activate Spammy Arcanist while Sire Denathrius is in hand.

Step Two. Kill everything!
Spammy Arcanist doesn't continue its battlecry indefinitely. It will stop proccing after 14 triggers, so the combo will give Sire Denathrius at least 15 damage loaded. If he's in your hand the whole game, then the damage just gets that much better!

Once your Sire is ready to complete his mission, play Kael'thas Sunstrider, Brann Bronzebeard, into Sire Denathrium for a blood-sucking OTK!

Needless to say, this combo WILL NOT be meta. However, this could be a hilarious way to flex on your friends if you're wanting to show off some creative combos!

"Infinite Damage" Combo Rogue - The APM OTK Challenge

Lastly, this is the most ambitious combo I was able to create during my time participating Theorycraft stream. If you're aware of the Brann Bronzebeard, Pandaren Importer, and Fogsail Freebooter Infinite combo, this is very similar to that. But instead of cycling infinite pirates, we are cycling infinite coins to give us the biggest weapon that Necrolord Draka can offer.

The idea of this Castle Nathria combo deck is very simple. Pandaren Importer discovers a spell that didn't start in your deck. If you put 30/33 available Rouge spells in Standard, slap in Prince Renathal and the important minions, you've got yourself an infinite loop combo deck!

When you play Pandaren, the only spells it'll find are Shadowstep, Savory Deviate Delight, and Parlay. When played with Brann, you can find (2) Shadowsteps. Thanks to Mailbox Dancer, you get (2) free coins for looping the Shadowstep combo. Since Mailbox Dancer is now (0) mana, you'll be able to generate enough mana in coins to play the (4) mana Necrolord Draka for the kill.

In theory, this deck should be unbeatable. It was possible to pop off the combo as early as Turn 5. But this is one of those decks where you need EVERY SECOND to input all the actions necessary. My best attempt ended with a 25-attack weapon. Pulling off the full 30 damage combo may be rough, but not impossible. The APM required for this deck is definitely a challenge for anyone looking to master this hilarious combo.

This concludes our look into the new Murder at Castle Nathria expansion. We will be featuring more decks after the expansion releases. Make sure to stay tuned to Esports.gg for more Hearthstone news and updates!
