Castorice may very well be the most broken unit in Honkai Star Rail, so here’s a Castorice build guide for her best build, teams, and relics.
Castorice is now playable in the Honkai Star Rail version 3.2 update! As the game's second limited Remembrance character, Castorice has unmatchable value. Add her unique, global passive on this and you have a unit that's almost a must-pull. Here's a Castorice build guide for her Relics, Teams, and Light Cones to make the most out of what could be the most broken Honkai Star Rail character so far.
Castorice build in Honkai Star Rail
Castorice is a 5-star Quantum character on the Path of Remembrance. Her Memosprite is a gigantic dragon called Pollux (also referred to as "Netherwing). Pollux is a big part of her kit, but the most broken part of her gameplay has to do with her passive.
When your account has her or she is in your party (through the Support system), Castorice can revive one character after they are defeated.
Which Castorice Traces should you level up?
You should prioritize the Memosprite Skill and Memosprite Talent before anything else. Then, you can go on to level up her Ultimate, Talent, and Skill. Levels on her Basic Attack are not needed.
Castorice Relic Build: Sets and Stats
It's incredibly important that you keep Castorice's SPD under 95 due to the effects of the Poet of Mourning Collapse Relic Set.
- Body: CRIT DMG%
- Feet: HP%
- Planar Sphere: Quantum DMG% or HP%
- Link Rope: HP%
- Substats:
- CRIT DMG% or CRIT Rate
- HP%
Best Relic Sets for Castorice

4pc Poet of Mourning Collapse
- 2pc: Increases Quantum DMG by 10%.
- 4pc: Decreases the wearer's SPD by 8%. Before entering battle, if the wearer's SPD is less than 110/95, increases the wearer's CRIT Rate by 20%/32%. This effect also applies to the wearer's memosprite.
Again, keep Castorice's SPD under 95 to make the most out of the 4pc set effect.
2pc Bone Collection's Serene Demesne
- 2pc: Increases the wearer's Max HP by 12%. When the wearer's Max HP is 5000 or higher, increase the wearer's and their memosprite's CRIT DMG by 28%.
More HP is better, and the memosprite gets a buff.

Best Castorice Light Cones
Due to the Remebrance Path being new, there aren't many choices for Castorice's Light Cones. If you have the choice of whether to pull for her E1 or her Signature Light Cone, you should most likely opt for the Light Cone.

Premium pick: Make Farewells More Beautiful
Castorice's Signature Light Cone is her best choice by a mile. It provides all the stats that she likes and allows her to ignore 30% of the enemy's DEF.
Alternative Pick: Sweat Now, Cry Less
You can get this by purchasing the Nameless Honor (Battle Pass). This Light Cone is a generally good choice for Castorice if you can't afford to roll for Make Farewells More Beautiful.
Free-to-play: Victory In a Blink
This Light Cone is acquired by progressing through the Amphoreus Trailblaze Mission. She cannot make full use of this Light Cone's effects, but if you find yourself wanting more CRIT DMG and less HP, this is the go-to.
You can also opt for non-Remembrance Light Cones. As long as they provide a decent amount of HP, then Castorice can find some use for them.
Best Castorice teams
Castorice eats a lot of her and her allies' HP bars, so a healer is a must. Luckily, she's not too SP hungry, so you have the luxury to choose between most Abundance units. She benefits a lot from getting buffed and enjoys being augmented by allies. The ideal setup would be Castorice, two support units, and an Abundance unit.

Her best support units are:
Gallagher, despite being a 4-star character, is the best healer to go with Castorice. In the event that he isn't available due to being used in other stages or not leveled up, Luocha is a good secondary choice.
