The character is empowered by traditional Capoeira moves and scary wind projectiles. Mina requires extra control for the max damage from her main attacks. Her Super is extremely helpful for cancelling massive attacks of Mina’s opponents.
Mina joined Brawl Stars as the first-ever character with a special unlock event. She brings a unique Capoeira-inspired moveset to the game. Her general style is somewhat in tune with Subway Surfers aesthetics — Mina was added to the roster during the collaboration event.
The Super of this character is worth special attention, even if you don’t play Mina. This attack may feel broken and game-changing if you are not aware of its features.
In this Brawl Stars guide, we highlight Mina’s abilities, her best build, and the ways to unlock Mina for free.
Mina and Rayssa Leal: Skateboard, cool moves, and awesome style
In the official Mina trailer, we can meet Rayssa Leal, a real-world skateboarder who won silver and bronze medals at the Olympics. The video somewhat hints at the inspiration for this Brawl Stars character and reveals the vibes around Mina.
Unlock Brawl Stars Mina for free
For a pretty long time, we had early access periods for all new brawlers. This tradition is over, and Trunk was the last one you could unlock for cash during the first week.
Mina changes the rules, as she comes with a 10-day unlock event in Brawl Stars.
- Play in a special Mina playlist with random modes.
- Take any brawler or maxed Mina.
- Receive a Mina box for each two wins.
- Unlock Mina for free with 14 boxes unlocked.
The game gives players three event tickets per day, and the competition is pretty tough in those matches. It is possible to buy Mina boxes for Gems, but it’s not the best way to spend this currency.
Mina of the Starr Road
Starting from Sept. 28, Mina is available via the standard Starr Road.
- Mina is a Mythic character, so she costs 1,900 Credits to unlock.
- Earn Brawl Stars Credits via the Trophy Road and in the Brawl Pass.
Guide: How to play Mina in Brawl Stars
Mina is a Damage Dealer with a pretty unusual main attack. She shoots wind projectiles, and if you tap within the time limit, Mina performs a combo with increase amounts of projectiles — up to three. The range becomes shorter, though: you need to consider the distance to your opponents and decide on the best attack option.
- Main attack, Capoeira Combo — Mina performs cool dance moves and creates wind whirlpools. She shoots these unusual projectiles. Note an extra bar: it shows the period to use the next combo attack.
- Super, Furacão 3000 — Mina creates a huge whirlpool that knocks an opponent up in the air and deals heavy damage.
The scariest feature of Mina’s Super is the chance to cancel big attacks from her opponents. For example, Frank can be ready to hit the ground and stun Mina, but she stops him in the preparation phase. Frank loses his Super and achieves nothing. This can be used against other massive Supers, which were previously safe at some distances.
The best Mina build in Brawl Stars
In general, Mina feels like a very strong Brawl Stars character in skilled hands. Therefore, her best build should follow the path of tricky effectiveness and open new opportunities for experienced players.
- Star Power 2, Blown Away — Super also stuns for 0.5 seconds. It’s great for team combos and for adding extra damage from Mina herself.
- Gadget 2: Capo-What? — If the first Super lands, the next one recharges instantly. The gadget emphasizes opportunities from Mina’s Star Power.
As for the other options, they may be used for a generally simplified approach to Mina. Star Power 1, Zum Zum Zum, heals Mina on the 3rd hit of her main attack. It’s a nice feature for aggressive players, but you still need to manage attacks and the combo bar carefully.
Gadget 1: Windmill has rather situational use, as it creates a wall to block projectiles. It works nicely if you use Mina for ranged attacks against other projectile shooters. Using this gadget applies less pressure on tricks around her Super.
Speed and Gadget Cooldown are the best Gears for Mina. Speed will let her approach opponents more quickly and then move back to safety. Gadget Cooldown allows you to use Capo-What? more often.
If you play with friends, consider taking close-range brawlers to your team with Mina. Such characters as Edgar or El Primo can join the fun after landing Super, making the damage totally deadly.
