What's the best Race in Oblivion Remastered?

Any time you play through Oblivion Remastered, you'll want to pick one of the best Races available. Of course, your own playstyle may different from what we think is best, and that's fine. This is just to guide those of you who need it the first time around.

Without further ado, here are the five we think are the best you can choose from:

  • Imperial: For beginner players, this is a simple Race with the ability to build a simple class. Just use your Imperial to fight hard, sell goods, and chat up the locals.
  • Dark Elf: If you want the best Race in Oblivion Remastered for almost all playstyles, go with the Dark Elf. You can balance them quite a few ways, and the strength with all manners of weaponry is too good to pass up.
  • Khajiit: Who doesn't love a big kitty cat? Well, the Khajiit will destroy you if you call them that. And they make for good, quick and stealthy characters. Want a thief? Choose Khajiit.
  • Breton: Playing on a higher difficulty, especially in the late-game, is perfect for the Breton Race. With the right class setup and Birthsign, you'll be unstable. Not only do they get a boost to their magic, they can also resist it greatly.
  • Wood Elf: Those of you who want a ranged class, stick with the Wood Elf. This is the best Race in Oblivion Remastered for archers who want to have a little fun. Their agility, bow usage, and the skill that allows them to command creatures are all great.
