How to get free Overwatch 2 Loot Boxes through Discord Quests!

Overwatch 2 is bringing back loot boxes! To celebrate its return, all players have a chance to get them for free simply by playing the game. Here's how you can get your free Overwatch 2 Loot Boxes through Discord Quests to scratch that itch once more.

This isn't the only way to get free loot boxes since its return, either. They're acquirable for free through various means, all the details of which you can read about here.

The promotion is being done on Discord through its Quests tab. To access this, head over to the Discover menu (the Compass button on the bottom left of your screen, next to your profile image and picture), then click Quests. You can also click this link for the Overwatch 2 Discord Quest for free Loot Boxes.

In this tab, you should see the Overwatch 2 "Claim 5 Loot Boxes" quest. You do have to play Overwatch 2 for 15 minutes, which equates to about 2-3 Quickplay games. Once you click Accept Quest, you may need to go through a Captcha. You then need to choose a platform between Desktop and Console.

You don't need to bind your Steam or Battle.net account on Discord to successfully claim your rewards. You'll instead get a reward code you can claim on Battle.net. This can be accomplished on your browser or the Battle.net desktop app.

If you're accepting the quest on your console's Discord client, then the quest should be activated straight away. If you're accepting it instead on your phone or desktop, but want to play on your console, there will be a button on the quest tab that says "Connect Console" if it could not find a linked Xbox or PlayStation account.

Once you're done doing this, you can hop onto any Overwatch 2 queue to start working towards your 5 free Loot Boxes!
