Get ready to take on Blacephalon in Pokémon GO.

Blacephalon is back in Pokémon GO in five-star raids from April 9 until April 21. We haven't seen this Pokémon since Pokémon GO Fest, so this is still a Pokémon that we haven't had many chances to encounter. This will also be the shiny debut for this Pokémon.

Blacephalon is region locked to the Western Hemisphere, with Stakataka appearing in the Eastern Hemisphere at the same time.

Blacephalon is a really powerful Pokémon for Raids. It sits well in both the Fire and Ghost-type categories. That makes this a really worthwhile Pokémon to Raid for, especially now that the shiny is also avaliable.

Here is everything you need to take on Blacephalon in Pokémon GO.

Best Blacephalon counters in Pokémon GO:

Blacephalon has a weakness to Dark, Ghost, Ground, Rock and Water-types in Pokémon GO. In terms of resistances, it has a double resistance to Bug, Fighting and Normal-type attacks. It has six other single resistances, importantly including Fairy-types.

Last years Glitz and Glam Research released Mega Diancie to all Trainers worldwide.. Additionally, Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon had appeared during the GO Wild Area event late last year.

As a result, most trainers should be able to build a team to take on Blacephalon. Of course, despite all these good Mega Pokémon you can pick from you can only have one Pokémon Mega Evolved at once. Any of the Pokémon that are good in their Mega versions are also good in their standard versions.

Blacephalon has a very low defence stat and should be pretty simple to take down. Two trainers with Party Play and good counters should be able to win this raid. Lower level trainers or those with weaker counters should aim for five trainers when battling this raid.
