Here is how to take on Regirock in Pokémon GO.

Regirock is back in Pokémon GO Raids until May 24. Regirock is currently #23 ranked as an Ultra League Pokémon, so this can be a great time to grab yourself some good Regirock (and candy!) ready for PvP.

As a Raid Attacker, Regirock isn't anything to write home about sadly. However, because it is so useful in Ultra League we still suggest heading out to grab a few if you can.

Here is everything you need to know before you battle Regirock in Pokémon GO.

Best Regirock counters in Pokémon GO:

Regirock has a weakness to Fighting, Grass, Ground, Steel and Water-types. It has a resistance to Fire, Flying, Norma and Poison-type attacks.

That gives is some very powerful Pokémon to choose from when we want to build a team to face Regirock in Pokémon GO.

Here are the best Regirock counters:

Primal Groudon
Mud Shot & Precipice Blades
Primal Kyogre
Waterfall & Origin Pulse
Mega Swampert
Water Gun & Hydro Cannon
Mega Garchomp
Mud Shot & Earth Power
Mega Sceptile
Fury Cutter & Frenzy Plant
Therian Forme Landorus
Mud Shot & Sandsear Storm
Terrakion
Double Kick & Sacred Sword
Mega Blastoise
Water Gun & Hydro Cannon
Mega Blaziken
Counter & Focus Blast
Kartana
Razor Leaf & Leaf Blade
Keldeo
Low Kick & Sacred Sword
Mega Venusaur
Vine Whip & Frenzy Plant

There are some really strong Regirock counters available in Pokémon GO. Some of the best Mega Pokémon you can use have either been in Raids recently, or are common Pokémon that (pre-evolution versions) often spawn in the wild.

As always, non mega versions of Pokémon in that list will still counter Regirock's Pokémon GO weaknesses and are good choices.

Primal Groudon is by far the strongest Pokémon available when taking on Regirock in raids.

Mega Evolutions to get you more Regirock candy in Pokémon GO

Mega Evolutions can help you get more candy and XL candy with every catch. Having a mega level 3 active that boosts candy for Rock-types will give you an extra 2 candy per catch, as well as a 25% bonus to your XL candy chance.

Here are the Pokémon you can Mega Evolve to get more Regirock candy in Pokémon GO:

  • Aerodactyl
  • Tyranitar
  • Diancie

How many trainers do I need to beat Regirock in Pokémon GO?

You'll need at least three Trainers (ideally with Party Power) in order to take down Regirock. For trainers who are lower level or don't have insane counters, aiming for about five trainers as a minimum is a good bet.

What is the Regirock Pokémon GO 100% IV?

While a 100% IV Regirock actually isn't helpful for PvP, it is still a good flex to have a 100% IV of any legendary in Pokémon GO.

Here are the CP values to keep an eye out for after your Raid:

  • 1784 CP
  • 2230 CP

Weather Effects:

Weather boost can help you save candy, get better IVs and benefit from power boosts on your team. Here are the weather effects to keep an eye on when taking on these raids.
