Celestial is one of the best mutations that you can get out of all the non-admin weather systems in the game.

If you’re after getting millions of Sheckles in Grow a Garden, giving your crops the Celestial Mutation is the key, especially if you can only afford cheaper seeds at the moment.

While there are other mutations that you should look out for, Celestial is definitely the most popular because unlike other mutations like Plasma and Choc, you’ll have more opportunities to turn your crops Celestial just by being online most of the time.

This guide will provide all the details you need about the Celestial Mutation in Grow a Garden, including how to acquire it for your crops and some tips to make the most out of such a mutation.

The Celestial Mutation is a type of standard mutation that gives a 120x selling value to an afflicted crop. This mutation also changes the appearance of a crop, giving it a light purple hue and surrounding it with some sparkling effects.

Celestial crops can make a garden look more valuable and profitable, and that’s no exaggeration considering this mutation has the second-highest value multiplier among standard mutations, just behind Dawnbound, which is only obtainable during the Sun God Event.

To get the Celestial Mutation in Grow a Garden, you’ll need to wait for a Meteor Shower. For this weather system, meteors will start falling from the sky, and crops that get hit by a meteor will gain the Celestial Mutation.

Meteor Showers used to happen more often during the Lunar Glow Event. But after the Bizzy Bees update, Meteor Showers became much rarer, even if they became a standard weather system that can happen anytime.

Based on our recent observations, while there is no specific schedule for the Meteor Shower, it usually happens with other weather systems like the Night and Blood Moon, which often trigger every four hours.

Before a Meteor Shower Event, it’s best to group all your crops that produce the most expensive fruits close together. This increases the chances of all of them receiving the Celestial Mutation, since falling meteors only affect a limited radius. To optimize the positioning of your crops, use some Trowels, which are available at the Gear Shop.

After witnessing a Meteor Shower Event, avoid harvesting your crops if they only have two or three mutations. Even if they already have the Celestial Mutation, it’s often smarter to leave them untouched so you can stack more mutations and earn greater profit when you sell them to Steven.
