Lighter in ZZZ

Lighter is an S-rank Fire Stun Agent. He belongs to the Sons of Calydon alongside Piper, Lucy, Caesar, and Burnice. The ZZZ version 1.3 update will add Lighter as a playable character.

Basic Attack

Basic Attack: L-Style Roaring Fist

  • Lighter attacks five times, dealing Physical and Fire DMG.
  • Additional effects can happen at certain parts of the five-hit combo.
  • Moving during the third attack while holding or tapping the Basic Attack button will keep triggering the Chain Technique. 
  • Stopping movement allows the fourth attack to go through.
  • Moving during the fifth attack while holding or tapping the Basic Attack button will have Lighter alternating between a light punch and the fourth attack.
  • Stopping movement while still attacking will start an attack combo.
  • This attack combo will continue as long as the player is tapping or holding the Basic Attack button, or until the combo’s duration ends.
  • Once the combo ends, Lighter will perform a finishing attack.
  • Lighter takes less damage during the third attack onward, and will have increased interrupt resistance during the fifth attack if Morale Eruption is active.

Special Attack

Special Attack: V-Style Sun Rising Fist

  • Perform an uppercut that deals Fire DMG.
  • Interrupt resistance is increased.
  • The Special Attack can be used during a dodge, with lighter performing a punch combo that deals Fire DMG instead.
  • Using the Special Attack does not interrupt the Normal Attack Combo.

EX Special Attack: V-Style Sun Wheel Rising FIst - Full Charge

  • Perform an uppercut then forward strike, dealing large Fire DMG.
  • Pressing the Special Attack button again will consume additional energy to trigger a follow-up attack, dealing more Fire DMG.
  • Pressing the Basic Attack button after performing the EX Special Attack will start the Basic Attack combo from the fourth attack.
  • The EX Special Attack can be used during a dodge, with lighter performing a forward punch combo that deals large Fire DMG.
  • Pressing or holding the Basic Attack button after this starts the Basic Attack combo at the fourth attack.

Assist

Quick Assist: Fierce Flash-Guard

  • Attacks enemies in front, dealing Fire DMG.
  • Tapping or holding the Basic Attack button will start the Basic Attack combo at the fifth attack.

Defensive Assist: Instant Break

  • Activated when the character on the field is about to be hit by an enemy attack.
  • Parries the enemy attack, dealing Daze to them.

Assist Follow-Up: Skeleton-Stab

  • Activated after performing Defensive Assist: Instant Break by pressing the Basic Attack button.
  • Launch multiple attacks at the enemy, dealing Fire DMG.
  • Tapping or holding the Basic Attack button will start the Basic Attack combo at the fifth attack.

Dodge

Dodge: Shadow Slide

  • Dash to dodge enemy attacks.
  • Dodging does not interrupt the Basic Attack combo.

Dash Attack: Skeleton

  • Attack forward, dealing Physical DMG.

Dodge Counter: Flash

  • Attack during a Perfect Dodge to activate.
  • Attack the enemy, dealing Fire DMG.
  • Tapping or holding the Basic Attack button will start the Basic Attack combo at the fifth attack.

Chain Attack

Chain Attack: V-Scorch

  • Perform an uppercut, followed by a downward attack, dealing Fire DMG.

Ultimate: W-style Crown Final Fire

  • Launch a powerful attack in a large area of effect (AoE), dealing Fire DMG.
  • Lighter is Invincible while using his ultimate.

Lighter's core skills in ZZZ

Core Passive: Combustion Aid

  • Lighter accumulates Morale over time. Energy usage additionally increases Lighter’s Morale. Morale has a maximum of 100 points.
  • Upon reaching 80 Morale while off-field, Lighter can perform a Quick Assist.
  • Lighter enters the Morale Eruption state while at 80 or higher Morale.
  • Morale Eruption ends when Lighter performs the finishing blow of the fifth Basic Attack’s combo, when switching off-field, or when Morale is exhausted.
  • Any unconsumed Morale points will be retained.

Morale Eruption

  • Morale Eruption increases the power of the fifth Basic Attack combo. Morale will be consumed with each hit.
  • Lighter’s Impact increases as he consumes Morale, up to a cap.
  • Lighter does not passively gain Morale while in the Morale Eruption state.
  • Once Morale is exhausted, Lighter performs a powerful finishing blow.
  • The fifth Basic Attack combo lowers the attacked enemy’s Ice and Fire DMG Resistance.
  • The Morale Eruption finishing combo applies the Rout effect on hit enemies, increasing their Stun duration.

Additional Ability: Uplifting Morale

  • Triggers with other Attack or Fire Agents.
  • Hitting enemies with Lighter applies Uplifting on all squad members, stacking up to 20 times. Stack duration is refreshed when triggered repeatedly.
  • Each stack of Uplifting increases the squad’s Ice and Fire DMG.
  • When any squad member performs a Quick Assist, Perfect Assist, or Chain Attack, Uplifting’s duration refreshes.
  • Whenever Lighter’s Impact increases, and when his Impact is higher than 170, every 10 points of Impact above 170 increases the effect of each stack of Uplifting.

ZZZ: Lighter Mindscape Cinema

  1. Ever-Winning Champion
    • When the enemy has Rout, the enemy’s Stun DMG multiplier increases.
    • When entering battle or going on-field, Lighter’s Morale charges to full if it was below 50 points.
    • This happens once every 60 seconds.
  2. Red Scarf
    • Further increases Rout’s Stun duration increase and the Ice and Fire DMG Resistance debuff.
    • When Morale is empty and the finishing combo hits the enemy, Lighter triggers another Quick Assist.
  3. Mercenary Leader
    • Increase Basic Attack, Dodge, Assist, Special Attack, and Chain Attack level by 2.
  4. Sunglasses
    • While Lighter is off-field, the on-field Agent’s Energy Regen increases.
    • When Lighter enters Morale Eruption, he recovers the Energy of the off-field Agents.
    • This happens once every 15 seconds.
  1. Decision Makers
    • Increase Basic Attack, Dodge, Assist, Special Attack, and Chain Attack level by 2.
  2. Survivor
    • Hitting enemies with most of Lighter’s attacks will trigger Fire Shock, dealing huge Fire DMG on the hit enemy.
    • This happens once every 8 seconds.
    • Each point of Impact above 170 increases the DMG that Fire Shock deals up to a cap.
    • When Lighter hits a Stunned enemy with a heavy attack, the cooldown of Fire Shock is ignored, triggering the effect again. This can be triggered once per enemy’s Stunned state.
