ZZZ Settings for Best Performance

Under Graphics > Image > Image Quality, select Low. Upon changing the settings below, this will turn into "Custom." This is intended. Also, if you are having trouble running Zenless Zone Zero, check if you meet the ZZZ minimum system requirements.

Under Custom, follow the settings below:

  • FPS: Unlimited
  • Vertical Sync: Enable
    • If gameplay is choppy, disable Vertical Sync.
  • Rendering: 0.8
  • Anti-Aliasing: Disable
  • Shadows: Low
  • FX Quality: Low
  • Shading Quality: Low
  • Character Quality: Low
  • Environment Quality: Low
  • Mirror Reflections: Disable
  • Volumetric Fog: Disable
  • Bloom: Disable
  • Distortion: Disable
  • Color Filter Strength: 10
    • This shouldn't affect performance and can be set to your preference.

On the Other category, toggle "Show Combat DMG" to Disable. Note that this will have gameplay drawbacks and will prevent you from seeing the damage you deal, but it may result in performance improvements.

If the game is still not running smoothly, consider reducing the resolution or going Windowed mode in Image > Display Mode.

ZZZ Settings for Best Quality

Put Graphics > Image > Display Mode as the Default option. Under Graphics > Image > Image Quality, select High. Upon changing the settings below, this will turn into "Custom." This is intended. If you meet or surpass the recommended system requirements, then going for quality may let you do so without significantly impacting performance.

Under Custom, follow the settings below:

  • FPS: Unlimited
  • Vertical Sync: Enable
    • If gameplay is choppy, disable Vertical Sync.
  • Rendering: 1.2
  • Anti-Aliasing: TAA or SMAA
    • Performance and quality for both Anti-Aliasing options may differ across devices. Experiment with both to see which one you prefer. If you don't notice any differences, choose TAA.
  • Shadows: High
  • FX Quality: High
  • Shading Quality: High
  • Character Quality: High
  • Environment Quality: High
  • Mirror Reflections: High
  • Volumetric Fog: High
  • Bloom: Enable
  • Distortion: Enable
  • Color Filter Strength: 10

On the Other category, Enable "Show Combat DMG."
