The end of an era in Apex Legends.
Iconic Apex Legends player Konstantin "Hardecki" Kozlov has announced he is offically retiring from Apex competition. The 21-year-old is moving to Deadlock, Valve's new Shooter MOBA crossover. Known as the 'Grim Reaper' of Apex Legends, Hardecki was one of the games iconic breakout stars over the first few years of the ALGS.
He is one of the most notable players to express an interest in Deadlock. While there are no announced competitions or organised esports for the game yet, Valve have a history of running esports for their games.

Hardecki's dominance in the EMEA region during the first few years of the ALGS will be hard to match. Competing alongside Artyco and Leogri3x6 on Gambit Esports he was part of a team that won countless accolades. This included the first ever EMEA Pro League, in addition to several Circuit events.
Perhaps his most remarkable achievement came in 2022. After having to relocate at late notice in order to compete due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine 'Team Players' managed to finish second overall in the league.
Later in his Apex career, Hardecki found success with Aurora. Most notably the first split of ALGS Year 4's Pro League in EMEA. Aurora were both magnificent and innovative, bringing Lifeline to the ALGS and racking up almost the maximum amount of points you can earn in a single split. They took first place in five of the seven Pro League match days.
That record in particular is one that will cement Hardecki's legacy in the ALGS and Apex Legends. We might never see a performance like that. Even 'super team' Team Falcons fell significantly short of this record.
Should Deadlock get a competitive esports scene, Hardecki would no doubt be a standout star. His flair will be sorely missed as the ALGS heads towards a fifth year of competition.
