Make sure your S&D loadout is up to snuff in Black Ops 7.

Search and Destroy is a staple competitive game mode in Call of Duty, and that hasn't changed in Black Ops 7. The mode is available to play in public matches, but you can also compete in Search and Destroy matches on competitive websites or scrimmage with other players in a private match. Whatever your taste for Search and Destroy, you're going to want to make sure you have a top competitive loadout for the mode in Black Ops 7.

To see the right weapons, perks, equipment, and other class items you need for Search and Destroy, take a look at the guide below.

Best competitive Search and Destroy loadout in Black Ops 7

When making a loadout specifically designed for Search and Destroy, there are a few different factors you need to consider. While many of these factors are the same for respawn modes, like Hardpoint and Overload, some aspects of your loadout will be different. Speaking of which, we have a separate guide for a competitive loadout in Hardpoint, so check that out if you're going to play any respawn in Black Ops 7.

Below, we'll go over every part of your loadout for Search and Destroy, and the loadout will include certain restrictions that are present in the current competitive ruleset:

Best Search and Destroy weapons

As of right now, there are only two weapons that are dominating the competitive meta. Those weapons are the M15 Mod 0 and the Dravec 45. However, the M15 Mod 0 is by far the more popular choice, as it can basically do everything the Dravec 45 can do. It's an assault rifle that can take on any gunfight on the map, it's a laser beam at all ranges, and has great mobility.

Either way you decide to go with your primary weapon, make sure to look at our loadout guides for both the M15 Mod 0 and the Dravec 45 before going into a match with either of them. It should also be noted that sniper rifles are allowed in competitive play, for now, so if you're looking to snipe, then your only option is the VS Recon.

As for your secondary weapon, your best and only option is the Jager 45, as the Velox 5.7 and the Coda 9 pistols are both banned in competitive. So just equip the Jager 45, use our best loadout for the pistol, and then don't touch the secondary slot again.

Best Search and Destroy perks and Wildcard

After selecting your weapons for Search and Destroy, you can move on to picking your Wildcard and perks. As with respawn modes, your options for perks are fairly limited. However, with your Wildcard, you have a couple of options, including the Gunfighter and Perk Greed Wildcards. For Search, though, you want more perks than weapon attachments, so Perk Greed is going to be the way to go.

Here are the best perks for Search and Destroy:

  • Perk 1: Ninja
  • Perk 2: Fast Hands
  • Perk 3: Dexterity
  • Perk Greed: Flak Jacket

Best Search and Destroy equipment and Field Upgrade

Finally, let's go over your lethal and tactical equipment as well as your Field Upgrade. You can see your best, and really only, options below:

  • Lethal: Frag Grenade
  • Tactical: Stun Grenade
  • Field Upgrade: Trophy System

With Flash Grenades being banned, your only choice for a tactical is a Stun Grenade, even though EMP Grenades would be nice to have. As for your lethal, you could go for a Semtex, but those limit your ability to throw pre-nades at the start of a round or try to get players off bomb sites. The Trophy System is the single option for a Field Upgrade in competitive play.
