1xBet is teaming up with MIBR’s VALORANT team, making them the first official betting partner under Riot’s new sponsorship rules.
Earlier this year, Riot Games announced that they are giving the green light for partner teams and organizations to onboard betting partners. MIBR's VALORANT team is the first to announce its official betting partner, 1xBet, under this new system.
1xBet for MIBR's VALORANT team
In a press release sent to esports.gg, the online gambling company 1xBet announced that it has signed a partnership with MIBR VALORANT. This makes them the first official betting partner under Riot's new rules.
Assuming everything Riot said back in June still held true, 1xBet had to go through a rigorous approval process for this partnership to be realized.
This partnership will "focus on creating a new, immersive fan experience, strengthening the team's global fanbase, and boosting overall engagement with VALORANT," wrote 1xBet. It will also involve activations with Gustavo "Sacy" Ross, who is currently a streamer under MIBR.
This partnership can be viewed as an extension of their already-existing sponsorship of the MIBR Counter-Strike 2 team.

1xBet's other forays into esports
MIBR is hardly the first esports organization that holds a partnership with 1xBet. Other rosters with a more lax approach to sponsors have them, like the CS2 team 9z.
1xBet are also often the official betting sponsor for events, such as IEM Cologne 2025. Here, some of their sponsored teams also played, like MIBR, Aurora, and The MongolZ.
