Downtown Las Vegas resorts Circa, the D, and Golden Gate are giving Canadian travelers full U.S. dollar value on select offerings through the new At Par program.
Circa Resort & Casino and more invite Canadians to Las Vegas
On Jan. 22, three Las Vegas hotels, Circa Resort & Casino, the D Las Vegas and Golden Gate Hotel & Casino, announced that they will launch the new At Par program. Running through Aug. 31, this program will treat Canadian dollars as U.S. dollars on select gaming, hotel, and beverage purchases.
According to the announcement, by granting Canadian guests $1 USD for every $1 CAD spent regardless of exchange rates, this program will remove a major financial barrier and let Canadians focus on entertainment and hospitality.
Derek Stevens, the owner and CEO of the three hotel and casino properties, shared his thoughts on the program. He said that his lifelong connection to Canada inspired the At Par program and revealed that it was designed to make Canadian visitors feel welcome in downtown Las Vegas.
"Canada has always been a part of my story, so I feel a deep connection to our Canadian visitors here in Las Vegas," he said. "My father went to the University of Toronto, and I was raised in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, where our home looked straight across the Detroit River toward Windsor. Growing up, we could literally hear Canada -- especially during Blue Jays matchups -- and that stayed with me. I loved crossing over for places like Tunnel Bar-B-Q, Don Cherry's and Tim Hortons, and my lifelong love of hockey is part of why we created BarCanada downtown as a place to celebrate that culture year-round."
He continued, "Those experiences shaped how I think about welcoming Canadian guests. Las Vegas At Par program
In terms of program details, the announcement outlined that Canadian guests will be able to redeem up to $500 CAD in slot play at Club One across Circa, the D, and Golden Gate. This will be valued at full U.S. dollars. Hotel stays at these properties will also be charged at the same U.S. dollar rate and billed in Canadian dollars with ID verification.
The At Par program will apply to select beverage venues, including BarCanada, Overhang, and Bar Prohibition as well. Guests will be able to redeem the offer multiple times per visit upon ID verification.
