Call of Duty features prominently at the Esports World Cup, with both MW3 and Warzone tournaments. The iconic franchise's battle royale game kicks off the festivity, having its full event in the EWC's first week.
With some standalone teams battling against historic esports franchises, only one can take the top spot. There's plenty of prize money to go around, though, so let's take a look at that, the format, and everything else you need to know.

Tournament schedule
There are four days worth of Call of Duty: Warzone action at the Esports World Cup. It takes place during the event's first week and kicks off at the following times:
- Solo Seeding Stage: July 3 at 8 a.m. PT
- Group Stage: July 4 at 8 a.m. PT
- Group Stage: July 5 at 8 a.m. PT
- Finals: July 6 at 8 a.m. PT
Format for Call of Duty: Warzone at the Esports World Cup
Call of Duty: Warzone is played in its Resurgence mode. This allows for players to redeploy for a certain amount of time after elimination. Once the timer runs out, no more respawns, and whoever is the last team alive wins.
There are 21 total teams, but the first day is a solo mode for seeding. Three 21-player matches will happen to determine group placements for the following days. After that, the three groups of seven teams hope to make it to the Finals day.
In the Finals, the top 14 teams face off to determine our winner. They'll get their hands on a hefty prize and earn their team Club Championship points towards the overall Esports World Cup standings. You can learn more about that in our explainer.
