After MOUZ secured their spot in the Grand Finals, all eyes were on the Astralis vs FaZe Clan semifinal. The second semifinal of the tournament, this series would pit two giants in Counter-Strike against each other. With Device leading Astralis, while KarrigaN’s experience having been the prominent feature of FaZe’s performance this series was full of excitement. The first map of the series was Nuke and it had a very explosive start. While Dev1ce seems to be flourishing with his new role as the In-Game Leader and with the AWP, Astralis took the early lead. However, FaZe had to fight back with some awe-inspiring individual performances. On multiple occasions early in the game, Broky stepped up for the roster, helping FaZe win crucial rounds.

Despite not having a great start, FaZe stitched together multiple rounds in a row to take a substantial lead in the first half.

Astralis bounced back on Ancient thanks to some all-around improvement by br0 and Staehr.

Inferno being the third map is one of the classic situations and one which FaZe has repeatedly found itself in. The teams traded rounds consistently, with little separating them from each other.

The FaZe players were certainly having fun on the defense, enjoying the game to its fullest. Whether Broky was practising some spins or the celebratory mood on the team, FaZe were in better spirits.

Ultimately, FaZe Clan secured the victory, setting up an epic clash against MOUZ.
