Falcons vs FaZe: BLAST Fall Finals 2024

Falcons and FaZe face each other in the Elimination match of the Group A at the BLAST Premier Fall Finals. The tournament features a double-elimination format and both Falcons and FaZe lost their opening matches. This elimination match is the final opportunity for both teams. 

Broky had a big impact on FaZe's performance on the first map of Nuke. There were multiple occasions when Broky and Frozen would find themselves catching the opponent off-guard thanks to their excellent positioning. Broky ended Nuke with 25 frags while Frozen and rops were close behind at 22 frags.

Nuke was Falcons map of choise and their poor performance on this map did not help matters. The team's performance in the first half of Nuke was particularly worrying. However, towards the second half of Nuke, Falcons seemed to be in a much better position as they seemed to have found their footing.

Ancient started with a strong performance by Falcons to start the map 5-0. The strong start helped them immensely in the latter stages of the map. However, Ancient is a map that can favor CTs every so slightly.

With some impressive perforamnces by both teams, the map went to overtime. And even in Overtime, it seemed there was little separating the two rosters. The map went to three overtimes, before Falcons managed to seal the map with a 22-20 score.

FaZe Clan come to BLAST Premier Fall Finals after a relatively disastrous performance at the ESL Pro league Season 20. They finished 13-16th at the tournament, losing 0-2 to Complexity before their elimination. However, the tournament before that, in August, they finished in the top two of their groups at the Fall Showdown 2024. Featuring a star-studded roster, FaZe is one of the favorites in this tournament. However, that favoritism is only if they can manage to ensure they are at the top of their game. Currently, the FaZe Clan roster is not performing at their peak level and their results speak for themselves. 

The team has already played one match in this tournament. The team faced off against G2 Esports in their opening match where they lost 1-2. The team managed to win Inferno, but lost out on Dust 2 and Mirage. Broky and Rain stepped up for the squad, but the G2 roster was simply too much for FaZe Clan. Despite Snax not performing up to his best performance, mONESY’s performance helped G2 move over the tide.

Falcons performance saw them go up against NASVI, which they lost 0-2. The match result was not a big surprise since NAVI was the overwhelming favorite to win that series. And rightfully so, they won the series 2-0. While Falcons lost the first map of Anubis with only five round, they managed to reach double digits in the second map of Ancient.
