Only FaZe Clan and Natus Vincere remain, it remains to be seen who will be crowned the champion of the first CS2 Major.

Perhaps the final that few expected, but it is FaZe Clan and NAVI who decide the PGL Major Copenhagen CS2 final. Two organizations with multiple trophies in Counter-Strike will add another Major to their portfolios.

CS2 and grand finals for FaZe Clan are starting to be synonymous concepts. Since the game was adopted for competitive purposes, the team has not missed a final in all the competitions it has played in.

Copenhagen Major Grand-Final: FaZe vs NAVI

In his home country, Finn "Karrigan" Andersen has a chance to add his second career Major. The first Danish IGL Major was the PGL Major Antwerp in 2022. Interestingly, the final was against NAVI with a 2-0 victory.

On the other hand, from Natus Vincere few expected a Major final. Without Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyljev, his replacement has done the job. w0nderful is the name of the moment for the Ukrainian organization. At Na'Vi, iM and jL have also had their peaks of form.

Both teams reach the final after finishing 3-2 in the Challengers Stage. Both show that performances in stages prior to the playoffs are of little interest in deciding the champion.

To reach the final, FaZe eliminated Team Spirit and Team Vitality in the playoffs. While NAVI defeated Eternal Fire and G2 Esports.

On the FaZe side, we have four Major champions. Only frozen is a debutant on FaZe's side in major Major decisions. On the Na'Vi side, iM reaches its second consecutive Major final. The player was a finalist in the BLAST.TV Paris Major of CS:GO by GamerLegion. Five years later, Aleksib reached the second Major final, b1t in turn reached the third final.

FaZe Clan vs NAVI Copenhagen Major Grand-Final recap

Follow with us the PGL Major Copenhagen CS2 grand final show between FaZe Clan and Natus Vincere.

Map 1: Ancient

FaZe Clan started better, winning the pistol, but NAVI didn't take long to respond and adapted to the match. The duels in the middle were decisive for NAVI's advance in the match. Individual talent was at its peak with several plays that show the level of the players present in the grand final.

The pistol won by NAVI in the second half put the team in a comfortable lead. The rounds won subsequently put the team at 10-5. FaZe got closer to the result, but at 10-9, NAVI once again asserted itself with an unfavorable round.

NAVI closed the first map at the first opportunity to close the match. For this, they had the help of jL in a fantastic clutch.

Map 2: Mirage

NAVI now had the first opportunity to close the series and still on its map of choice. FaZe started better with an immaculate CT-side. The team closed the first half with a score of 10-2. Detail for several good individual moments for FaZe players.

FaZe kept the pace and didn't let NAVI breathe in the second half of the match either. The highlight of this half goes to the pistol of ropz. The decision really goes to Inferno.

Decider - Map 3: Inferno

Since the Eleague Major Boston 2018, the Major final has had all three maps played. FaZe was in that same final and it was in Inferno that the team also led by Karrigan took Cloud9's historic comeback.

Inferno once again how to decide a Major grand final and FaZe started the game out of the match. NAVI's good start allowed the team to take a 7-0 lead. This result was stopped with a frozen clutch.

NAVI, despite giving up two more rounds in the first half, did not want to stop their dominance. w0nderful was only killed twice in the first half, while karrigan finished it with no kills. With a 9-3 lead, the pistol won in the second half put NAVI just a few steps away from winning the Major.

NAVI didn't stand a chance and won the first CS2 Major with a score of 13-3 on the last map.
