The Middle Eastern Tournament organizer carves a place for itself in the 2025 calendar year.

YaLLa Esports has announced new events for 2025 with two LAN events. Featuring a combined prize pool of $1.5 million, YaLLa’s new events will carve a space for itself in the Counter-Strike esports calendar year.

YaLLa Compass to Host two LAN events in 2025

The Middle-eastern tournament organizer is best known for hosting YaLLa Compass last year. Team MongolZ won YaLLa Compass 2024 after a 2-1 victory over the Ninjas in Pyjamas. They had a dominating Group stage followed by a 2-1 victory over Astralis in the semifinals. Eventually, they won $200,000, half of the $400,000 prize pool for the event.

Moving on to 2025, the TO will host two new events across the Middle Eastern and North African regions. The two events will have a total prize pool of $1.5 million. There will be eight online qualifiers that culminate in the two LAN finals.

The first LAN event will take place from April 15-20 according to an HLTV report. There are slight deviations from the 2024 YaLLa Compass circuit. Winning the main event no longer qualifies the team to the LAN final. The teams will instead qualify for the closed qualifier that will eventually lead as the path to the Main event.

YaLLa Compass paves the way for itself in the 2025 Counter-Strike esports calendar year. With Valve issuing new rules to ensure an open ecosystem, there is an opportunity for tournament organizers to step in and host events. With BLAST and ESL dominating the Counter-Strike calendar year this year, Valve’s new rules ensures there is more competition. More competition also brings more innovation, which leads to a better experience for Counter-Strike fans.

YaLLa’s first LAN event in April next year will be nestled between a PGL and a BLAST tournament. The first Major of 2025 will take place a bit later in early June before players head of to a much-needed break.
