Heroic acquire a spot in Blast Premier Circuit after Immortals Gaming Club decide to sell their MIBR slot.

BLAST has announced that Heroic has become a partner in the BLAST Premier Circuit after acquiring the slot from MIBR. The Danish side, currently ranked fifth in the world, will be playing in the Blast Premier Circuit going forward.

With the current landscape of franchised spots and partner invites, Heroic now has partner spots with both BLAST and ESL. The EPL slot was acquired late last year, facilitated by Heroic's parent company Omaken Esports.

The Norwegian organization had acquired the Danish team in early 2021 and has taken the roster from being a tiny organization punching far above its weight to one of the 11 teams that have partner slots in both leagues.

“Today marks a massive milestone for Heroic Group. Our entry into BLAST Premier provides us with a unique position alongside the biggest brands in our industry, and a platform for collaborative growth that we strongly believe in. We are really impressed by the product that BLAST has built so far and are super excited to contribute to the continued success of the tournament as one of the 12 members.”

IGC sell the MIBR Spot

Facilitating this move was the Immortals Gaming Club's decision to sell MIBR's slot in the league. Heroic won the subsequent bidding process with an undisclosed bid. MIBR was an original partner from the inception of Blast Premier in 2020 and competed in 9 events. With 3 different rosters playing under the banner over that duration, MIBR slowly fell further and further down the ladder, likely resulting in this decision.

“We thank MIBR for being one of our partners for the last two years. Their renowned and passionate Brazilian fanbase have ensured there’s never been a dull moment, even when we had to pivot to online-only shows in 2020. We look forward to having them back competing in our global qualifiers and regional Showdowns in the future."
