Amidst more failed qualifiers and poor results, OG have, once again, decided to release their Dota 2 roster.

If we look back on 2025, many Dota 2 teams have found themselves in the limelight, but OG’s roster was not one of them. While the organisation has had the spotlight on it for various reasons, it has not been anything good. Now, after more failed qualifiers and tournaments in the past few months, another roster falls by the wayside.

2025 has been a brilliant year of Dota 2 across the board, except when it comes to OG and their rosters. Throughout the year, the team has seen countless changes. However, none of these have stuck, as the once-famed organisation has struggled to find their footing. With a plethora of qualifiers and tournaments throughout the year, OG has not been able to find a roster to hit the mark. With that, OG has let yet another roster go.

Announced via the team’s X account, OG confirmed that their current roster had been released from the organisation. This comes shortly after Johan "N0tail" Sundstein returned to the frontlines to play alongside the team in their recent DreamLeague Division 2 Season 1 adventures. Although the return after a three-year break excited the fans, it has amounted to nothing.

A little over a week ago, OG announced that they would be parting ways with their Latin America (LATAM) roster, too. This leaves no actual players in the OG organisation, with only the management remaining.

Is this the end of OG?

With so many issues throughout the year and having the likes of N0tail and even Sébastien “Ceb” Debs stand in at times, OG could face the end of their era. With alleged financial struggles only adding to their poor performances, OG could be in turmoil.

OG has no prospects in tournaments for the remainder of 2025. With that said, OG always had a “never give up” attitude. This attitude got them back-to-back wins at The International and created a ton of hype around the organisation. We will have to wait and see what becomes of the once-epic organisation in the coming Dota 2 season.
