It looks like dyrachyo will stay away from Dota 2 for a bit as he recovers from a recent surgery.

Former Gaimin Gladiators and Tundra Esports carry Anton “dyrachyo” Shkredov shared on his Telegram channel that he recently underwent surgery to remove his lipomas. He also confirmed that he will return to streaming soon and mentioned that he plans to play a few games other than Dota 2.

“Hi everyone! Today I had a small operation to remove lipomas. I had been watching them for a very long time, wondering whether it was worth it, and when I realized, they were starting to grow and cause discomfort, I decided to have them removed. Everything went well and very quickly.”

The ex-Dota 2 player, known for his aggressive early- to mid-game carry playstyle, last competed in a tier 1 tournament with Tundra Esports at PGL Wallachia Season 3, where he helped the team secure a second-place finish. However, the Russian player truly made his name during his time with Gaimin Gladiators, where he was a key figure in the team’s dominant run throughout the 2023 season.

Despite his commendable performance at PGL Wallachia Season 3, dyrachyo announced that he wanted to take a break from the professional scene for a while, as he doesn’t enjoy playing Dota 2 at the moment. Tundra Esports respected his decision and moved on by signing Remco “Crystallis” Arets as their next carry before eventually replacing him with Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko.

According to dyrachyo’s Telegram post, which was written in Russian, he said that once he recovers from his lipoma removal surgery, he is planning to stream games again, with finishing The Last of Us 2 being his top priority. He is also looking forward to playing the upcoming Resident Evil Requiem, along with other games.

“As for streams, I think once everything heals, I’ll finish The Last of Us 2. There’s very little left, as far as I understand, and after that we’ll see. I also want to play the new Resident (Evil), but anyway, we’ll see how it goes. Maybe I’ll play something else too. I’ll try to stream different games.”

Unfortunately, dyrachyo did not even mention Dota 2 when discussing his future plans, suggesting that the carry player who aced every major tournament in 2023 is not eager to return to the game, at least for now.

However, it is worth noting that dyrachyo did take part in several showmatches last year, competing in BetBoom Streamers Battle 10 and 12 under the dyrachyo Team banner, where they finished in the 9th to 10th place range in both tournaments.
