Dota 2 has opened Workshop submissions for the Spring Call-to-Arms

Toy Butcher Pudge and Disciple’s Path Anti-Mage personas are open season in the Dota 2 Workshop Spring Call-to-Arms.

Submissions for Dota 2 Workshop Spring Call-to-Arms are now open as Valve looks to push creators to create more incredible designs for Dota 2. The Call-to-Arms was posted on Dota 2's community page late on March 24.

In the post, Valve outlined their usual details of the event, along with some guidelines. There's no specific theme for this Call-to-Arms, and all submissions are to be on the Dota 2 Workshop by the end of the day on May 29, 2023 (00:00 p.m. PT). Each submission should be marked with the "Spring 2023" tag. And the developer also reminded players to regularly visit the Workshop and vote. After all, it's our duty to stop another Marci cat girl situation from arising…

Both the Toy Butcher Pudge Persona and the Disciple's Path Anti-Mage Persona were recently added to the Workshop, and set designs for these two are welcomed by Valve. For Disciple's Path Anti-Mage Persona, if a set is accepted into a subsequent treasure, it will be the first new chance to grab the Persona since 2020.

For Toy Butcher Pudge, you can grab it right now if you're lucky — there's a Toy Butcher in the current Dead Reckoning treasure.

Overall, we're really excited to see what the community can come up with for these two personas, and the rest of the heroes as well.

Will these be the Battle Pass Treasures?

It's currently unknown what sets from this Call-to-Arms will be used for, whether a Spring or Summer Dota 2 treasure, a Collectors' Cache or something else. However, we do know it's not the only Call-to-Arms this year. As per the community post page: "We'll also be launching a second Workshop Call-to-Arms later this year — with a late-August deadline — so even if you've got new ideas at the ready, there's plenty of time to brainstorm on your designs."

With that kind of timing, perhaps sets from the second Call-to-Arms will be for a Battle Pass.
