Fata has been “kicked” from Tundra Esports following the WEU Regional Finals

Following a disappointing run in the WEU Regional Finals, Tundra Esports releases team captain, Fata from its roster.

A couple of days after the Western European (WEU) Regional Finals, Tundra Esports announced that their Dota 2 team captain, Adrian "Fata" Trinks has been released from the roster.

According to Tundra's post, Fata "will be leaving Tundra" and they wished their now-former captain the best of luck.

This has been a difficult decision but we want to make sure our team has the best possible chemistry to improve our performance this year. Our new team captain will be announced soon.

This announcement comes as a surprise to most fans, especially since the players of Tundra Esports have signed long-term contracts with the organization until 2024.

Fata also posted a Tweet saying that he "has been kicked from Tundra."

According to Fata, the roster change is the players' decision. He revealed there has been previous attempts to kick team players which he declined. He also highlighted that throughout his journey with Tundra Esports, he had fought for constant improvement for the team.

Tundra Esports will replace Fata with a new team captain

The organization Tundra Esports had picked up team mudgolems in early 2021 which comprises Oliver "skiter" Lepko, Leon "Nine" Kirilin, Neta "33" Shapira, Malthe "Biver" Winther, and Adrian "Fata" Trinks. Later on, Jingjun "Sneyking" Wu would replace Biver and the lineup remained for a long period of time.

They had a decent showing in the early season of the 2020-2021 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC). Eventually, they won significant championships such as the ESL One Fall 2021 and the OGA Dota Pit S5: Europe and CIS.

However, they barely missed the chance to qualify for The International 10 after losing to OG 3-2.

This year, Tundra remained a strong force in WEU. But they fell short at the Regional Finals, finishing at last place. This placing was unexpected to a lot of fans as they had an undefeated record against the new OG lineup. But at the Regional Finals, they dropped a series against OG 0-2.

Four days later, Tundra Esports announced that they will replace Fata with a new team captain. This sparked a bunch of speculations that the current free agent, Tal "Fly" Aizik, whose role is also a pos 5/captain, to join the organization. However, we have to keep our eyes peeled for the confirmation of Tundra's next roster announcement.

On the other hand, Fata tweeted that he will "probably take a break from competitive" as he is tired to start back from scratch. He is currently considering streaming or uploading music.
