Team Falcons remains undefeated in the PGL Wallachia S2. But it felt like HEROIC could’ve won the match. Find out why here!
The PGL Wallachia has seen many surprises, but nobody expected an Upper Bracket Finals between Heroic and Team Falcons. Aside from their Group Stage performance, the South American team never placed this high before. Plus, they are playing this tournament with a new carry: David "Parker" Nicho.
On the other hand, Team Falcons are not going through their best season. They started the year as the favorite team to dominate, but results didn't follow. The all-stars team placed third in Riyadh Masters 2024, and fourth in The International 13. Despite the drama following Ammar "ATF" Al-Assaf, they managed to reset and get to the UB Finals.
Game 1: Falcons stomping as soon as the mid-game starts
Team Falcons have dominated the PGL Wallachia S2 with their Nature's Prophet pick, but HEROIC decided not to ban him. This was a good opportunity for them to play around the tempo they know: Play safe during the lane phase, and start roaming. Thanks to this, they prevented HEROIC from getting any objective around the map.
However, this was only the tip of the iceberg. ATF's Doom got out of control, and became unkillable thanks to the net-worth his facet gave him. Despite Parker's great itemization, the game was impossible to retake for HEROIC.
Game 2: Parker's show time
The early game rotations were all in favor of Team Falcons, and the Twitch chat thought the PGL Wallachia UB Finals would see a quick 2-0 against HEROIC. They had good reasons to believe this, since the MENA team's draft was one with a lot of snowball potential. Plus, Analog and Parker's networth was dropping fast after their early attempts to even the situation on the top lane.
The only way to recover from this start was with a clutch play, and Parker delivered. Despite losing the first Roshan, HEROIC decided to fight for the second one. Parker baited the whole Team Falcons with a high-risk teleport, and they fell for it. The Monkey King escaped, followed by a beautiful teamfight execution.
After this, Team Falcons never got another chance, giving HEROIC one more chance to make it to the PGL Wallachia S2 Grand Finals.

Game 3: The Divine Rapier wasn't enough
Both teams learned from their previous draft, and the chess match began. HEROIC banned the NP, but Team Falcons got the flex Razor in return. Both teams got some of their scariest picks, with Muerta going for Parker, and the 100% win-rate Bristleback for Ammar. The South Americans managed to close the draft with an offlane Pangolier, a pick most would expect in the midlane.
The Game 3 for the PGL Wallachia S2 Upper Bracket Finals looked tied, but Team Falcons found how to break HEROIC's defense. Despite having the Aegis of the Immortal, Parker didn't have the damage to stand against Skiter's static link. After this fight, the Falcons got a huge networth advantage and a better position on the map.
The next Roshans were Falcons property, and they slowly started their high ground siege. After finding a pick-off on Parker's Muerta, it was easy for them to take the objectives they needed. A bad initiation by Davai Lama was all they needed to do it.
But the PGL Wallachia S2 UB Finals still was not decided, since HEROIC's decision not to buy back on Parker granted him the money to buy Divine Rapier after this bad fight against Team Falcons. However, their efforts were not enough, as Falcons wins the match with their triple-Wind Waker combo with the Static Link.
With this result, Team Falcons is the first PGL Wallchia S2 Grand Finalist. HEROIC will have to wait for their next opponent, which will be decided between Navi and Tundra. Stay updated with us!
