PGL Dota 2 road map: Eight $1 million Dota 2 tournaments to unfold in the next three years

The first of the massive PLG Dota 2 road map will begin in May 2024.

These million-dollar tournaments just keep springing up like mushrooms in 2024! PGL has just announced a massive road map to provide a minimum of eight Dota 2 tournaments in the next three years, all featuring a million dollars prize pool each. While this year will see two PGL tournaments, the next two years will have three tournaments each.

This marathon of premier Dota 2 tournaments will start this year until 2026. The first installment in this PGL road map, PGL Wallachia, will begin on May 10 to 19. Check out the complete PGL Dota 2 road map below.

PGL Dota 2 Calendar [2024]

  • PGL Wallachia Qualifiers: March 21 - 28
  • PGL Wallachia: May 10 - 19
  • Tournament #2 Qualifier: September 29 - October 6
  • Tournament #2: November 15 - 24

The roadmap begins in 2024 with two LAN tournaments! The first already has a name to it and it is called PGL Wallachia of Season #1. This tournament will take place from May 10 to 19, bringing an elite Dota 2 competition for 10 exciting days. PGL Wallachia will unfold live in Bucharest, Romania in PGL's sophisticated studio.

It will host the Open Qualifiers from March 21 to 24. The next stage, Closed Qualifiers, will then take place from March 25 to 28. This event will field sixteen of the world's best teams. The next tournament will also take place in PGL Studios.

  • 2025 Tournament #1 - March 6 - 15 (Qualifiers - January 5 - 12)
  • 2025 PGL Tournament #2 - April 18 - 27 (Qualifiers - March 23 - 30)
  • 2025 PGL Tournament #3 - November 7 - 16 (Qualifiers - September 21 - 28)
  • 2026 PGL Tournament #1 - March 6 - 15 (Qualifiers - January 4 - 11)
  • 2026 PGL Tournament #2 - April 17 - 26 | (Qualifier - March 22 - 29)
  • 2026 PGL Tournament #3 - November 6 - 15 | (Qualifier - September 27 - October 4)

PGL assures that it will continue to release updates regarding this long-term plan for Dota 2. This is one of the many premier Dota 2 tournaments (all holding a $1 million prize pool) that has been announced in 2024. This also includes the ESL Pro Tour and the BetBoom Dacha series.
