A new Dota 2 season is here and the first big event is approaching fast. PGL Wallachia S2 will host familiar notable teams, most of which participated in The International 2024. But the most exciting part would be the newly put-together rosters bringing some flavor to the competition.

Let's take a look at all the teams of PGL Wallachia S2. [Note: PGL initially invited a different set of teams. After the post-TI roster shuffle happened, there were significant changes to the teams' lineup.]

Notable teams like Team Liquid, Team Spirit, Xtreme Gaming, Cloud9, and PSG Quest will not participate in PGL Wallachia despite the initial direct invite.

Many teams are heading towards transformative roster changes, with plenty of key players swapping teams or leaving the professional scene. Team Spirit will field new players following the inactivity of Yatoro and Mira. Tundra Esports bids farewell to Topson who has opted for retirement and is also parting ways with Pure, who returns to BetBoom Team.

There will be more intense roster changes for teams and it will significantly affect the upcoming competition in PGL Wallachia S2. Teams will have to work on their chemistry and in and outside of the game in a short period span.

The second edition of PGL Wallachia will officially mark the beginning of Dota 2's new season. It is the first tier one tournament that follows The International 2024, which ended on September 15th, 2024. This tournament offers $1 million as prize pool, which will be distributed to sixteen teams.

PGL Wallachia S2 is set to take place from Oct 4 to 13. Teams will play live from Bucharest, Romania though there would be no live audience. You can find out the complete list of broadcast talent here.
