ASNA is here to stay! The ex-As7 will be the house of three different esports teams in Japan. This is all we know about them.

Esports in Japan are growing day by day, and teams have to reinvent themselves to keep their audience interested. This is the case for As7, a multidisciplinary esports team that is now updating their name to ASNA.

However, this is a message to all the casters and community: The name's pronunciation stays the same —"asuna". The Japanese brand is not new to the Asian scene, as they've been around since Jan. 2023. Their rebrand includes a new name, logo, and theme: "Find your color".

Before becoming ASNA, As7 found international recognition when one of their players, ごんたパイナポー, made it to the Fortnite Champion Series 2023 (Last Chance Major); during the Chapter 4, Season 3, Asian Finals.

Now, they are planing to compete not only in Fortnite, but in two other disciplines. These are the newest rosters competing under the ASNA name:

  • APEX Legends:
    • Rayzzy
    • Ojipan
    • Tekunoro
    • Mitan
  • VALORANT:
    • Raysen
    • Masa
    • Merusea
    • Ikura
    • Yuu

As7 is now ASNA, and this is their new theme: Find Your Color

About their new identity, ASNA is looking for an urban style with their new graffiti logo. But this is not the only change the Japanese brand is looking for. Their new slogan for the 2024 season will be "Find Your Color", an interesting way to create a concept and a distinction for their multiple teams.

ASNA, the ex As7, shared with their audience that this new slogan is also an invitation for them to follow their passions. On their press release, they stated that this phrase "celebrates the unique talents and personalities of each player". Also, each color represents a different esports team, which is a unique way of keeping their different audiences' interest in social media.

ASNA features different colors for each team. For example: Their VALORANT division will be orange.

For the new logo, they worked with the talented local artist C4, who was also in charge of their visual identity. They worked first with hand-drawn designs that later became their new logo, keeping the wings shape in honor of the old one.
