Here’s what the partnership means for EFG.

ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) has announced a multi-year partnership with the Esports World Cup.

EFG and Esports World Cup partnership

As the competition's official operating partner, EFG will handle broadcast programming, product development, and global marketing.

According to EFG co-CEO Craig Levine, the ambitious event contributes to growth of competitive gaming overall. Additionally, as the current event comes to a close, EFG hopes to keep shaping "the future of sports fandom and entertainment powered by esports and gaming."

Esports World Cup Foundation CEO Ralf Reichert shared his thoughts on the partnership as well, highlighting EFG's operations and expertise.

“The Esports World Cup is delivering premier competition at a scale never seen before, giving 3.4 billion gaming fans around the globe a true spectacle, providing players with life-changing prize money and crowning the first Club Champion,” Reichert said.

He continued, “EFG’s operational excellence and industry-leading experience have been invaluable as we execute this world-first event, and we’re excited to lean on our multi-year partnership as we look to expand Esports World Cup programming and accelerate the industry’s growth.”

Esports World Cup 2024

The inaugural Esports World Cup event kicked off in early July and will conclude in late August. So far, the event has featured games such as Overwatch 2, Dota 2, League of Legends, Street Fighter 6, and more.

Earlier in 2024, EFG hosted qualifiers across the globe. Through the multi-year partnership, EFG will continue to integrate Esports World Cup titles into DreamHack, ESL, plus the FACEIT platform.
