This lineup was announced during the Paris Games Week. Notably, although FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves is not even out yet, the game has generated hype within the fighting game community (FGC). Just recently, SNK Corporation welcomed Kim Dong Hwan into the FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves roster.

Mortal Kombat 1 not at Evo France 2025

It's also notable that Mortal Kombat 1 was not listed as part of the 2025 event during Paris Games Week, which sparked confusion among some players and fans on social media. Caster and YouTuber Max Viann, for example, stated that he's curious about the reasoning behind the decision.

"The absence of Mortal Kombat 1 in the announcement of the games that will be part of EVO France has made me very curious," Max Viann wrote. "I would like to understand, what the reason behind this decision?"

It's worth noting that Mortal Kombat 1 had comparatively low registrations at Evo Las Vegas 2024. Meanwhile, the game's first-ever Final Kombat tournament took place in Toronto earlier this year and drew a small yet dedicated audience.

Despite Mortal Kombat 1 not being on the Evo France 2025 list, players can look forward to the game's upcoming offerings. For example, Ghostface is set to join the roster for early access on Nov. 19.
