It’s a key event for the fighting games community (FGC). Not only does Evo Las Vegas 2025 host the biggest tournaments, but it also reveals the state of the industry: current games and future releases.

The main lineup of Evo Las Vegas 2025 features eight games. Apart from the legacy title Marvel vs. Capcom 2, all of them have high-level tournaments: qualifications for the official league finals. Landing in the top 8 here means earning quite a lot of standing points, and the winners earn direct invitations. Sure, the glory of being an Evo Champion is immortal!

The tournament stakes build up a huge part of the general excitement around Evolution Championship Series 2025 (Evo 2025). All the top players are here, and it’s a chance to witness what is possible in the top-most level of play. However, it’s not everything. The event is a massive celebration of the genre and the community.

People gather together to play fighting games and have fun together. New characters are playable in the venue, like UNI2 Izumi and SF6 Sagat. Upcoming games are highlighted here, like 2XKO, Marvel Tokon, and Invincible VS — even if only via trailers. Evo 2025 shows the state of the industry, with a glimpse at the future potential.

How to watch Evo 2025 tournaments: Stream

The official Evo Twitch channel streams the main matches, while quite a few side channels feature pools and side games. You can watch the final brackets of the primary Evo 2025 tournaments right here.

Schedule of Evo 2025

The event goes on for three days, from Aug. 1 to Aug. 3. The weekend is packed with tournaments! Check out the full Evo Las Vegas 2025 schedule in the image below.

Results and details: The main Evo 2025 tournaments

There are three lineup sets featured at Evo 2025: main, extended, and side. While it sure is interesting to follow the matches of Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. or BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, we focus on the primary tournaments in our Evo 2025 results section

Mortal Kombat 1 Evo 2025 results

It’s the last big qualifier of the Pro Kompetition 2025 series. After MK1 Evo 2025, there will be only VSFighting XIII, of a lower tier, and the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ).

All the top competitors are here, including SonicFox, Rewind, Grr, Scorpionprocs, and Nicolas. The winner of Evo 2025 MK1 advances directly to the Final Kombat event.

There will be no announcements for this game, as the developers officially confirmed having no plans for new content. A balance update is still coming to Mortal Kombat 1: it happens after Evo.

Under Night In-Birth II (UNI2)

This game settled nicely in its niche as an awesome anime fighter. UNI2 is totally great: as one of the best fighting games for beginners and as a deep, competitive title. It receives regular updates and new characters.

In 2025, Under Night In-Birth II is part of the Arc World Tour 2025 lineup: it was announced at AWT 2024 Finals. Still, it has only a few qualifiers, and UNI2 Evo 2025 is the first one in this series. With no points for global standings, only the tournament winner benefits here: they earn a direct spot at the AWT 2025 Global Finals.

Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising

It’s another game in the Arc World Tour 2025 lineup: Granblue has more qualifiers than UNI2, and we’ve already witnessed a few. The series started back at Evo Japan 2025

This tournament has the Platinum+ level, which means many standing points and an invite to the AWT 2025-2026 Finals for the winner.

Guilty Gear Strive Evo 2025 results

Guilty Gear Strive remains the main game for Arc System Works. It has many AWT 2025 qualifiers, and the fights are totally amazing after a few years since the original release, with all those new characters and balance updates.

Daru_i-No won Evo Japan 2025, and he is playing at Las Vegas as well. The other top players are also here, including Nitro, Leffen, Hotashi, and ApologyMan. Evo 2025 Guilty Gear Strive is a Platinum+ qualifier.

FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves

It’s the very first Evo presence for FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves, but not the first top-level tournament for this game. We already witnessed the EWC 2025 FATAL FURY matches — GO1 won it after defeating Xiaohai in the grand final.

These players and other EWC participants battle at Evo Las Vegas. The winner advances to the final event of the SNK World Championship 2025. For the community, it’s another chance to check the current state of the FATAL FURY meta.

Ken Masters from Street Fighter joins FATAL FURY CotW this summer. This version of the legendary fighting games character is playable at the SNK booth at Evo 2025. Also, SNK revealed the official character guide for Ken in FATAL FURY.

TEKKEN 8

The controversial updates of Season 2 don’t really affect the popularity of TEKKEN 8 esports. The competitive circuits are up and running for this game. Evo 2025 features TEKKEN 8 qualifiers for the Esports World Cup 2025 and the TEKKEN World Tour 2025.

Four EWC spots are available here. As a Master+ TWT 2025 tournament, TEKKEN 8 Evo 2025 provides the top competitors with large portions of standing points.

It is also pretty interesting to see the currently strongest characters. Tibetano won the recent tournament, The MIXUP 2025, on Asuka, which is not your usual meta pick.

Street Fighter 6 Evo 2025 results

The SF6 tournament at Evo Las Vegas 2025 has a mind-blowing number of attendees: 4,242. The second biggest game is TEKKEN 8, with 2,553.

The winner earns a Capcom Cup 12 spot, as Evo is a Premier Capcom Pro Tour 2025 qualifier. Two EWC 2025 spots are available here as well.

As for the current SF6 meta, Fuudo won Blink Respawn just two weeks ago — and he took Dee Jay to the final matches. The Elena update shook the character situation significantly.

The next Street Fighter 6 DLC character is Sagat. He's out right after Evo, and the event visitors can try him out early.

The competitive excitement doesn’t end after the Evo weekend. Two Esports World Cup 2025 tournaments happen this month: TEKKEN 8 EWC is from Aug. 13 to Aug. 16, and Street Fighter 6 EWC is from Aug. 20 to Aug. 23.
