Results of the FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves Esports World Cup 2025
The top 16 players participate in the EWC 2025 FATAL FURY CotW. They qualified for the event from an intense tournament series.
- First, all the competitors are divided into four groups. They play double-elimination brackets, and two players from each group advance to the Playoffs.
- The top 8 part consists of single-elimination brackets and a match for the third place.

Group Stage
Each group is pretty strong, but Group A is apparently the deadliest. Xiaohai is here, and he already has experience of winning the EWC for Street Fighter 6 in 2024. He is one of the best KOF competitors of all time, and switching to FATAL FURY is natural for such a legend.
Fenritti was among the best in DBFZ, and he has big plans in this new game. In Group B, it is also interesting to follow Reynald. His run at the Combo Breaker 2025 was phenomenal.
GO1 is the favorite of Group C. He is another DBFZ champion playing FATAL FURY. Nemo intensifies the Street Fighter vibes at the tournament.
In Group D, we have mok, who has some decent KOF results. Poongko reached a few top placements at FATAL FURY tournaments. Really close battles should happen here.

Quarterfinals
RB started great in his quarterfinal against Xiaohai, but the initial advantage wasn’t enough to win over this FGC monster. Xiaohai recovered — a lot thanks to excellent timing with Billy’s long-range pokes.
In the second match, DarkAngel proved once again that he is a young hero of the FATAL FURY Esports World Cup 2025. Not only did he bring Terry to the fight of Billys and Kains, but he also defeated two Japanese powerhouses. After eliminating Nemo, he won an extremely close match vs Fenritti — it took him the whole set of nine games.
ET started his match vs GO1 on Hokutomaru, and that did not work at all against Kain. ET switched to Billy to win a game. But GO1 had a plan for this scenario. He took his Marco and demolished ET.
The match between mok and xyzzy was a battle of ranges. When Billy managed to keep Hokutomaru at a distance, his staff did tons of damage. However, mok found a way to come really close and deliver those quick ninja hits. mok demonstrated miracles of adaptation!
Semis
To face DarkAngel, Xiaohai switched to Hotaru, for the first time during the entire FATAL FURY EWC. That worked well, but the match was still extremely close. At some point, it looked like DarkAngel could take down even Xiaohai, but that did not happen.
The fight between GO1 and mok was pretty even in the beginning, but then GO1 adapted to the air throws of Hokutomaru. Kain’s Rondo traps worked perfectly, and GO1 upset the crowd one more time — by defeating another Falcons player.
Finals
Massive hits by Terry Bogard did a lot of damage to Hokutomaru in the third-place match. DarkAngel adapted well to jumps of mok and delivered lots of mind-blowing punishes. The Mexican player truly deserves his top 3 placement at the FATAL FURY CotW Esports World Cup 2025!
GO1 did not go for Marco this time and played against Billy of Xiaohai with Kain. That was an excellent back-and-forth battle! GO1 was forced to get offensive, so his mind-blowing defense skills did not shine that brightly. Xiaohai demonstrated clever resource management and hit with Supers at the best moments.
Despite losing first two games, GO1 found a way to crack Xiaohai — and he defeated the SNK specialist!
GO1 is the first-ever FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves Champion at the Esports World Cup!
The FATAL FURY competition is certainly not over with the Esports World Cup 2025. The next big tournament is around the corner: Evo Las Vegas is from Aug. 1 to Aug. 3, and it is the SNK World Championship 2025 qualifier.
