A new report reveals staggering numbers.

Fortnite is objectively one of the most popular games in history. Beginning with its peak in 2018, Epic Games has turned the game into a bonafide money maker that players have remained loyal to over the years. But how many players does Fortnite have, and what does it make in revenue?

A new report has confirmed an answer to both questions, and the results may surprise you.

This news comes weirdly enough from AGBO—the Russo Brothers’ production company website. The team behind Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame recently added former Epic Games Chief Creative Officer Donald Mustard to the AGBO team. As a result, this required a bio to outline Mustard’s career achievements.

Upon reviewing the bio, readers learned just how impactful and successful Fortnite has been since its 2017 launch. The game “currently boasts over 650 million players,” according to Mustard’s bio.

Furthermore, it states, “Fortnite has more than 250 million average monthly players as of 2023, and 25 million players use Fortnite daily.” In addition to the raw player count numbers, the information included viewership numbers for the Marshmello event (10.7 million) and the Travis Scott event (45 million).

How much money does Fortnite make?

Fortnite’s revenue has always been somewhat of a mystery, considering it’s a free game but features paid cosmetics. Donald Mustard’s bio revealed that Fortnite has generated $20 billion—a genuinely astronomical figure.

It’s unclear whether that revenue was reported before Mustard’s exit. However, given the word currently comes before it, it’s safe to assume these are relatively updated numbers.

Beyond the numbers shown on the AGBO website, Fortnite is in the midst of its most successful season ever. Epic Games reported that more than 40 million players turned out for day one of the Chapter 1 throwback season.
