Here is when you can get your hands on the Leatherface skin in Fortnite!

Fans did not expect a crossover between The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Fortnite ahead of the Fortnitemares 2024 event. Although Michael Myers became a playable character in 2023, the revelation of Leatherface Fortnite skin was a complete curveball.

Following the release of several Halloween-themed skins, Leatherface's arrival is inevitable. Here is when you can expect to unlock the crazed slasher in Fortnite.

When is the Leatherface skin coming to Fortnite?

Epic Games has yet to confirm the Leatherface Fortnite skin's release date, but leakers have some theories. HYPEX believes the order of the Fortnitemares 2024 skins in the official blog post indicates that the Leatherface skin will arrive between Oct. 25 and 27.

Here is the order and release date of those cosmetic sets:

Based on this lineup, HYPEX believes the Fortnite x Texas Chainsaw Massacre collaboration will occur second to last before the Ravemello Outfit rounds out Fortnitemares 2024. We expect to learn more over the next few days before the decryption of the Leatherface Fortnite skin.

What does the character look like in Fortnite? What will it cost?

Unfortunately, since the assets remain encrypted, we only have a few promotional screenshots to draw from. Fortnite's version of Leatherface has become somewhat of a meme.

His face doesn't look much like leather; it's just an ordinary mask. For those who aren't aware, Leatherface wears other people's skin on his face, so it appears Epic Games had to remove the gore factor to make it Fortnite-friendly.

Although hardcore Texas Chainsaw Massacre fans aren't thrilled, it could look much worse for a Fortnite version of the character. As for the price, it's unclear how many V-Bucks you'll need to fork over for the Leatherface skin. The Edward Scissorhands skin costs 2,000 V-Bucks, which may be the minimum you'll have to pay.
