Here’s everything we know about the upcoming Fortnite Reload map!
According to various leakers within the scene, a new Fortnite Reload map will launch on April 8. The most recent Reload map, which landed in November 2024 during the Chapter 2 Remix season, has been four months since then. If true, this would be the third map to join the Fortnite Reload rotation.
While the details are minimal, here is everything we know about the upcoming Reload map.
Everything we know about the new Fortnite Reload map
This new Fortnite Reload map leak originated from two leakers, Loolo_WRLD and BeastFNCreative. Several others have since circulated the story, adding more credibility. The rumored April 8 date will fall on a Tuesday, which aligns with Fortnite's usual update cycle.
Unfortunately, the additional information available doesn't give us much. Reputable leaker HYPEX reported several potential themes from one of Epic's recent email surveys.
The themes for this Reload map could revolve around Fortnite Chapters 2, 3, 4, or 5. HYPEX explicitly highlighted Chapter 2 Season 2, which has become one of the most beloved seasons by the Fortnite fandom. Lastly, there is mention of a potential "Jungle" or "Urban" setting.
While those details don't paint a clear picture, a new Reload map based on Chapter 2 would make sense since the two current maps in rotation are both inspired by Chapter 1.

What locations could we expect in a potential Chapter 2 Reload?
Reload features a much smaller area than the traditional Battle Royale and Zero Build game modes. We would likely see nine locations if the new map draws inspiration from Chapter 2. If we had to select nine Chapter 2 locations to appear on the new Reload Map, they would be as follows:
- Misty Meadows
- Lazy Lake
- Sweaty Sands
- Slurpy Swamp
- Dirty Docks
- Steamy Stacks
- Holly Hedges
- Craggy Cliffs
- Frenzy Farm
This list encapsulates the most iconic points of interest (POIs) from early Chapter 2. However, if Fortnite decides to focus on Season 2 for the upcoming Reload map, we could see the Mythic drop spots, such as The Agency, The Grotto, The Shark, The Rig, and The Yacht, in the mix.
We will have to wait and see as more details emerge over the coming weeks.
