The patch is coming soon, and the latest Brawl Talk revealed a ton of content coming for the Brawl Stars May update! Including two brand-new brawlers, six hypercharges, and new game modes. Supercell also shared more information on City Smash, the game mode in collaboration with Godzilla. However, there's also a new skin theme coming to different brawlers: The hacker skins.

Lily and Draco are coming with the Brawl Stars May Update, and we've got some details on how their mechanics work and some of their damage information. The first one is a Mythic rarity brawler, while the second is Legendary.

Lily has only one ammo for her normal attack and deals a fixed amount of 2400, according to the Brawl Talk footage. Her range is about the same as El Primo's but can deal with long distances thanks to her super. When it lands, Lily will jump to the target location and deal a fixed amount of 2000 damage.

Draco attacks with his guitar, and the most damage he can make depends on landing it on full range. The guitar will do three instances of damage (1200/1620/2400), and his super depends on how many fireballs you connect.

Destiny 2: The Final Shape is looking more and more like it will be a triumph for Bungie. And now, after the recently released trailer, players have even more to get excited about with a confirmed new location and the return of some familiar faces to the Destiny franchise. With everything culminating, will this really be the end of Destiny 2?

The new trailer for the Final Shape titled, "Journey into The Traveler Trailer" should have fans thrilled for what is coming in the new expansion. The new trailer shows old faces returning to the series, like Savathun, The Witch Queen, Empress Caiatl, and Mithrax, Kell of Light. It also looks to feature Cayde-6 prominently, one of the most beloved characters in all of Destiny.









Based on the name of the trailer and the overall story arc, it appears all but certain that this will take players into the heart of the Traveler itself to stop an infection of the light that is spreading, threatening humanity. It looks to be an epic ending to a game that has been out for nearly eight years.

This is still unconfirmed and a theory, but today's trailer seems to point more and more towards The Final Shape being the ending of Destiny 2. Whether it is the literal Avengers of Destiny being assembled, the breakdown of the subclasses that the game has long been framed around, or the long-awaited final fight with the Witness looming, it seems all signs point to a grand finale. And with Cayde returning to join you, what could be a more poetic end?



This also would go along with several fan theories that have been circulating as of late, claiming that Destiny 3 is already in the works under the codename, "Payback."

Yoko Taro, the director of NieR: Automata, has praised upcoming title Stellar Blade, going so far as to call it "much better than NieR: Automata." 



In an interview with IGN, the director of hit Japanese action game NieR: Automata sat down with Hyung Tae-Kim, the director of Stellar Blade at South Korean studio ShiftUp, and talked about the intersection of their games and inspirations. While some fans seem to be pitting Stellar Blade against the very similar NieR title, the directors behind the projects seem to be overflowing with praise for one another. So much so, Taro went out of his way to say he thinks Stellar Blade is a better game than NieR: Automata.

Hyung Tae-Kim and Yoko Taro are far from strangers, and despite some fan-led comparisons between the two directors' work, seem to overflow with praise for one another. When asked by IGN's Esra Krabbe about what inspired Stellar Blade, Taro makes clear that he's been so often inspired by NieR: Automata that it's hard to point at a specific instance. But in his effusive praise for NieR's strong woman protagonist and story, he asks Hyung if he approves of the NieR-inspired product that ShiftUp is launching.









In response, the NieR director praises Hyung's early work on the PlayStation 2's Magna Carta: Tears of Blood and says he's been aware of his work since before he directed his first title, Drakengard. He calls Hyung a legendary developer and the two exchange some lighthearted jokes about how Taro should act more superior.

While parts of the internet seem intent on pitting the two titles against one another, the creative heads leading the charge seem to be more than happy to share the spotlight. Stellar Blade launches on April 26, 2024 on the PlayStation 5.

NieR: Automata director praises Stellar Blade as "much better"

It's been over six months since Valve officially released CS2, forcing casuals and professionals to adapt to the new game. Even though the developers pushed many updates since September 2023, one of the best CS2 players in the world — FaZe Clan's Robin "ropz" Kool — feels there is still a lot to be done to improve the game.



Since CS2 came out, many professional players have expressed their distaste toward the new game but not all of them cared to relay proper feedback to Valve. Ropz, on the other hand, was pretty vocal when CS2 launched and reported bugs and malfunctions on more than one occasion, helping Valve to fix the game.

Although ropz recognized that Valve did improve CS2 since the game came out in September, the FaZe star claimed there are still "many things missing" — especially optimization.




"I think the game is not in a good place at the moment," ropz said in an interview with esports.gg on April 22. "I think optimization is the biggest problem I face right now with tournaments. You go from tournament to tournament, and some might have a good PC, some might have an average PC, but playing CS2 on an average PC is not good enough, FPS-wise."

Not only does CS2 run poorly depending on the specifications, but we've also seen random crashes in some of the biggest tournaments. It happened to Dzhami "Jame" Ali in a crucial round of Virtus.pro versus G2 during the PGL Copenhagen Major in March and to Astralis' star Nicolai "device" Reedtz during the IEM Chengdu semifinals in April.

Following the $30 million Gamers8 last summer, Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has announced Saudi Arabia is launching an annual Esports World Cup, which will begin in summer 2024. 



The Esports World Cup was announced during the New Global Sport Conference held in Riyadh, co-hosted by the Saudi Esports Federation and the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Sport. The news comes just two months after the conclusion of the Gamers8 event.



<a href="https://esports.gg/news/esports/gamers8-returns-for-the-2023-season-with-a-30-million-usd-prize-pool/">Gamers8</a>, held in Riyadh last summer, featured a $30 million prize pool across 10 different esports titles including Fortnite, Rocket League, Dota 2, PUBG, and Rainbow Six Siege. The <a href="https://esports.gg/news/esports/cristiano-ronaldo-promotes-gamers8-esports-event-in-surprise-tweet/">event was even promoted by Cristiano Ronaldo</a>, whose newest team Al-Nassr FC has close ties to the country's royal family.

EA Sports FC 2024 has been officially announced as the latest game to join the Esports World Cup lineup.



The event, taking place this summer in Riyadh, will feature a huge library of games. Organisations will compete across titles to earn additional prize money.

EA Sports FC always seemed a likely candidate to join the Esports World Cup lineup this summer. Despite a rebrand to both the games title and their pro circuit format, EA Sports FC has been remarkably successful across their FC Pro Circuit since the game released.



The recent FC Pro Open set a record for the most popular tournament in EA football esports history. Both their Global Qualifier and regular FC Pro season maintained an average of over 300,000 viewers across the event.



It is clear that there is a lot of appetite for EA Sports FC competition. While there is not yet details on how the competition will work, it is expected that it will be the biggest prize pool in the games calendar. The Gamers8 event was a substantially bigger prized event than the regular EA ran circuit. 



The only announcement today, revealed that qualification for the event will be done through Dreamhack as well as by invitation.
