Street Fighter 6 has a 2023 summer release, meaning it’s getting close! Here’s everything we know about the game so far.
Street Fighter 6 is a highly-anticipated title and Capcom has been slowly revealing more information about the vibrant fighting game. Here is what has been confirmed so far leading up to its eventual release later this year.
When is Street Fighter 6 coming out?
Street Fighter 6 was teased in February of last year and has had the FGC buzzing ever since. Luckily a release date has since been confirmed.
Street Fighter 6 is coming out on June 2, 2023.
With the release date slowly coming up, expect more information about the fighting game in the next few months.
What platforms can Street Fighter 6 be played on?
Fans of the classic fighting game will be pleased to learn that Capcom is releasing the new Street Fighter for every platform. This means you can play it on:
- PlayStation 4
- PlayStation 5
- PC
- Xbox Series X/S
There will also be an arcade version of Street Fighter 6 released this year. The arcade version will be released by Taito.
There has been no word of Street Fighter coming to Nintendo Switch, however. The Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection is on the Switch, which means the new game may be available to Nintendo fans in the future. But there is no Switch version coming in June of 2023.
Will there be crossplay?
Interestingly enough, Street Fighter 6 will have full crossplay and cross-platform support. This will be available when the game launches, confirmed by Capcom during the Summer Games Fest Play Days. This means that fighters on PlayStation will be able to compete with Xbox players and so on.
What fighters are in the new Street Fighter?
You can expect all of the classic and iconic fighters to return in Street Fighter 6. But the game also has six new characters on the roster. This includes Kimberly, who is already being seen as an OP fighter by some gamers who got to experience the previous betas due to her speed.

Is there a third Street Fighter 6 beta in 2023?
Many in the FGC are frustrated after not experiencing the beta at the end of 2022. Will there be another in 2022? So far, Capcom has not confirmed that there is another beta in the works.
