Unlocking the MG7 requires 20 points in the Series 30 Spring Festival Playlist in Forza Horizon 5.

The Lunar New Year update is in its final week in Forza Horizon 5, and the exclusive reward for the week is the MG MG7. The Series 30 Spring Festival Playlist in its entirety has been quite easy on the players with all five exclusive cars being unlocked as long as all players earn 20 points each season. The MG7 is also a 20-point reward and the final exclusive car for the update. Here's how you can unlock the shiny green sedan from the Chinese manufacturer.

This treasure hunt isn't a very easy one to pull off. It needs players to know about a specific location on the map based on wildlife. The title of the treasure hunt is "A falcon among flamingos," which makes it obvious it's referring to a Ford Falcon. The flamingo part, however, can be off-putting. We'll get to this later. The clue goes, "Head to the Cascadas de Agua Azul, place Falcon in frame in front of the pool, taking a picture is what I'd advise, doing this right will win you the prize." This means you'll need to head to Cascadas de Agua Azul.

Cascadas de Agua Azul is towards the south of the map. It's a section of the map with waterfalls and a tropical rainforest of sorts. You'll need to drive a 1972 Ford Falcon XA GT-HO just towards the waterfall on the right side of the dirt road on the left as shown in the map above. This is where the flamingos part comes into the picture. Pun intended. There's a flock of flamingos right off the beach opposing a giant waterfall. Take a picture with that waterfall in the frame and it should complete the treasure challenge.

Once the treasure challenge is completed, you'll unlock the treasure location on the map. This isn't far off from the photo challenge. Head over to the dirt road just northeast of the San Sebastian bridge on the map. The treasure chest is right behind a house with a Farid Rueda painting on it. The exact location is shown in the map below.

This is another simple photo challenge. All you need to do here is take a photo of any Formula Drift car. These are easily available in the Autoshow or auction house in case you don't have one. Buy one or use any FD car you have and take a picture in photo mode.

The MG MG7 is a 20-point reward in the Spring Festival Playlist in Forza Horizon 5 Series 30. This means unlocking it won't take a long time. For most players, this won't go beyond an hour. The Festival Playlist offers a plethora of options. Here's how we suggest you go about it.

  • Treasure Hunt - 3 Points (1972 Ford Falcon)
  • Photo Challenge - 2 Points (Any Formula Drift Car)
  • Seasonal PR Stunts - 2 points each for 6 points total (Manufacturer: Rimac S2998)
  • The Trial - 10 points (Korean Cars - Essentially Hyundais B700)

That comes to 21 points overall, which is enough to unlock the MG7. Of course, you could replace the PR stunts with the two EventLab activities, but that would take longer. In case you want to unlock the 40-point reward, which is the MG3 hatchback, you'll have to complete more playlist activities. Keep in mind that since it isn't an exclusive reward and has been a playlist reward in the past. You could happen upon it in the auction house as long as you have the credits and timing right.
