Live-action Legend of Zelda movie delayed by Nintendo

It will always break the heart a tiny bit when the movie, TV show or video game you have been anticipating gets delayed. However, this is not always a bad thing, as it gives the team behind all the action more time to perfect it. The most recent victim of delays is the live-action Legend of Zelda movie, which is arguably the most anticipated live-action video game adaptation being made.

Well, looks like we have got ourselves a bit of a standoff here. Just kidding, because Avengers: Secret Wars has already been delayed by a year (and will probably be delayed more). The live-action Legend of Zelda movie is officially being moved from March 26, 2027, to May 7, 2027, which was the original date Avengers: Secret Wars was set to premiere.

The live-action Zelda movie was announced a few years ago, and since then, people have been scrambling to learn more. We already have rumors of the cast, including Hunter Schafer playing Zelda, but other than that, the only other news we have is the release date.

Many are probably wondering whether the delay of this movie is bad or good, and to be honest, I am sure it upset quite a few fans. I mean, everyone and their mothers are anticipating the release of this movie. I still remember 15 years ago when IGN released a fake Zelda movie trailer for April Fools. I will still never forgive them for that.

But does that mean that things are not looking good for the upcoming Legend of Zelda movie? Well, actually, it means the exact opposite.

When a movie or video game gets delayed, it usually means that the team behind the action needs more time to perfect everything. I mean, look at Breath of the Wild. That Zelda game was delayed by years, and it ended up being one of the most glorious gaming experiences to date.

That being said, fans should be hopeful for the live-action Zelda movie, as it would seem the director and Nintendo are taking the movie incredibly seriously.
