What can you expect when NHL 25 releases?

EA have unveiled several of the key new NHL 25 features that players can look forward to when the game releases. This includes a huge update to how players appear in the game, enhanced storylines and more.

NHL 25 releases on October 4, with early access starting a week before that. You can pick the game up on either Playstation 5 or XBOX X|S.

Here's a rundown of all of the new features announced today:

All announced NHL 25 new features

1. Next-Gen Characters

Players in game will look far more realistic in NHL 25 thanks to the new Next-Gen characters feature being introduced. New SAPIEN Technology comgined with the power of the Frostbite Engine on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S means that all of NHL 25’s in-game characters have received a serious visual overhaul.

2. Grudge Matches

We all love a Grudge Match in any sport, but in Hockey they are electric. The all-new Grudge Match System tracks the history of matchups between teams across online and offline modes, showing relevant stats from previous meetings to add more context and stakes to the action.

The new NHL 25 Grudge Match feature also includes Impact Players, who earn special X-Factors related to their standout performance in the previous matchups, along with new contextually driven cinematics and commentary that turn up the heat of rivalry.

3. Infinite Camera System

The final of the new NHL 25 features is a brand new Camera System for your matches. The all-new Infinite Camera System completely revamps replays with increased variety and authenticity of angles. Those include broadcast-inspired wire, drone, and other static cameras positioned throughout the rink to capture even more of the action.

Combine this with the all new player models, and you have a more realistic experience than ever before.
